Idears until now fore the back text.
Sage : Candlekeep: The greatest center of learning in all the Realms
Kiaransalyn : Candlekeep. Chronicling the Realms since before Elminster was born."
Victor and Markustay : Know, O seeker of knowledge, that there are many libraries in Faerűn, some of them vast and impressive—but there is only one Candlekeep. All who value and treasure knowledge are welcome within its gates, not just those of particular wealth, status, races, or faiths.
Delzounblood : Candlekeep The Realmsian Vault of Sages and The Forgotten Realms Vault of Sages
Victor : Candelkeep.com : The biggest collection of canon lore concerning Forgotten Realms on the net
Alaundo : I'd still like to see the site's tagline (The Library of Forgotten Realms lore) somewhere. Not sure if there are any copyright implications on this, however. "Forgotten Realms" would have to be listed with "TM" at least.
George Krashos : I'm a 'Keeper!" on the back
sleyvas : Our ***ks are bigger than yours! (we know, you have book envy)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Front : Candlekeep and the picture of Candlekeep Back : Candelkeep.com and something under this a text. Tt could be : The Library of Forgotten Realms lore
There is no problem with copy rights as long that we doesn’t use their logo and there is no reason fore using TM Alaundo. That whey I want to use another font (Old English)
The problem would be if we use the same font logo and text they use fore FR. The picture is not a problem as long as we edit it a little.
Idont like : I'm a 'Keeper!" on the back ore Our ***ks are bigger than yours! (we know, you have book envy)
We need to find a more serious and “Candlekeep” like text fore the back
Until now the best text is : Know, O seeker of knowledge, that there are many libraries in Faerűn, some of them vast and impressive—but there is only one Candlekeep. All who value and treasure knowledge are welcome within its gates, not just those of particular wealth, status, races, or faiths.

WotC owns the name Candlekeep, and they likely do have it copyrighted. Therefore, some marker is appropriate -- either a ™, a ®, or a ©.
Actually, using that image might be a copyright issue, as well...

I concur. The first is too cutesy for me, and the other sounds too juvenile and crude. |

Agreed.
I don't mind "I'm a Keeper", but making lascivious comments about our 'equipment' doesn't really reflect a scholarly nature.
I'm for the logo and piccy on the front, with Aluando's rec. under the logo - "The library of Forgotten Realms Lore", but small. The front should be uncluttered and artistic to really catch the eye.
Some where - I would assume the back - should appear "Candlekeep.Com" for the terminally stupid who can't figure out where to find us on the web. I don't really like where I placed it on the botton-front, it looks too 'busy' (and will wind up looking enormous when stretched across MY prodigous girth).
Something along the lines of this, perhaps -
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y178/MarkusTay/T-shirt8.jpg
Although it still looks a bit busy. I switched to the Algerian Font just for ledgiblity; we could go with any font at full size. Also, by making the © symbol small, it will appear as one of the stars on the front, and as the "." on the reverse - I figure a little creative subterfuge never hurts.
@Victor - All I did was break your original quote (the one from this site written by Ed) into two, so that the word "Candlekeep" would fall out in the center. It says EXACTLY what you wrote on your frist edition (aside from the --Ed Greenwood at the end). I would agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY with YOU that that text is VERY appropriate for the reverse. I think people aren't liking it because of the size - it WILL appear smaller when on a the shirt folks - we only need to make it that large so we can read it right now.
I'll need your E-mail to send you the photoshopped image, Victor. |

Sorry I can't keep my big mouth shut. IMO the shirt as Markustay presents it has too much info - noone would actually read all this unless you have a bus trip of one hour together (in which he would must likely read it multible times! ).
No honestly - I would remove the stars form the front, and go with the upper half of the text Mrakus proposed (or any other short text) finishing with "candlekeep.com". I like the text by Ed but I think its simply too large for a shirt. Short, simple and selfexplaining would be best.....
Just to give you my feetback.

Like This -

I raised the keep back up to where it was before, because it interfers with the slogan less that way. Also, I had to enlarge the font size by one on the slogan because it was getting lost against the keep (thats why I curved it the last time). |

Actually, that doesn't look too bad.
I'm starting to put together some ideas of mine own. I'll try scanning a copy over the weekend and then linking them here. |

Now we're talkin'. Exactly! Thanks for picking that up so quickly.
BTW, if straight or curved style on the front would not matter much, IMO. |

I think its called "Irongate" or some such. I tried the "Neverwinter" one, but it was too flowery, and Exocet was too Planescapish.
This one's called "Viking" -
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y178/MarkusTay/T-shirt11.jpg
Anyhow, I figure we are really just going for layout at this point - the fonts could be anything medieval/fantasy looking.
I also jacked-up the size of the intro on the back one notch, just to get a comparison. |

... And my userpic would fit quite well on the back of the shirt... Just blow it up nice and big, and you've got a masterpiece that everyone will want to wear!

Hmmmm... I doesn't really 'do it' for me.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y178/MarkusTay/T-shirt12.jpg
Maybe if I put "home of the Giant Space-hamster" under it? |

Hey now! Don't you have a 117-item "to do" list you're supposed to be working on? |

It'll be 118 shortly. I've another item I want to add to the list, just as soon as I hear back from Ed regarding another little idea I've been tinkering with.

Well met
Aye, I like it
I'd like it to say The Library of Forgotten Realms lore and perhaps the logo needs moving down a little to be more across the chest than up at the neck.
But overall, excellent

Neato. Though I agree with Alaundo. Maybe shrink the 'keep' a little and bring the text down some. That way it will also display better if Lady Hooded wears it... |

What better way to advertise the shirt. Hooded One, where art thou... time to change into something a little more comfortable |
