I really like it - a great cover! Personally, I like the darker mood for book covers, and one of my all time favorites is the Spectre of the Black Rose.

Glad you like it!

SotBR. . . I love that cover, too. The statue rising like a monolith, only you're not sure it's a statue and not Soth himself, entwined with dark roses. . . Beautiful.

Well, my personal opinion -- completely unbiased from having written the thing, a'course -- is that it's a good one.

I just wanted to pop in and drop a note that anyone who might be interested in this novel would do well to come to my Sunday signing at GenCon, 12-1, August 13, at the Author's Avenue booth.

And that's all I'll say about that.

Same question here. Plus, how many other Dungeons books are there going to be? Is it 4?

And good luck Erik!

It's a little plain for my taste in terms of composition, although I think it's skillfully painted. It's far from being the travesty that is the cover for Blackstaff.

"You came here to be a martyr in a great big bang of glory... instead you will die with a whimper."
::moussaoui tries to interrupt::
"You will never get a chance to speak again and that's an appropriate ending."

Not a lot of new info about the novel, I'm afraid. It's set for March, I think March 13 on Amazon.

It is my understanding that there will be FOUR Dungeons novels. Jaleigh Johnson is writing one (The Howling Delve) as is Rosemary Jones (title unknown).

The star of the novel is the Fox-at-Twilight, who is a character in my Realms of the Elves novella, "The Greater Treasure."

There may be more information on my Ask Erik Scott de Bie thread over in the Chamber of Sages. :)

Cheers

Thanks for the info. And not to sound too fanboyish, but that is a great character name.

One other thing. Do any of the other characters appear in your novel.

SPOILERS

At the end, you leave Yldar in tears over 'Light. Is he back? (I am presuming your novel takes place after the short story). How about the Deep Coven?

Hmm. Can't give away too much, so I better make this suitably cryptic.

1) It does take place after. Depths, if I'm not mistaken, takes place in late 1374.

2) Not Yldar (ahem. . . yet), but I haven't abandoned the theme. Either of them.

3) Not the Deep Coven but, once again, I haven't abandoned the theme. Or lost any of the books.

Cheers

Ah, just read this. Was looking forward to the novel already. What Iīve read of you so far suggests to me, that a "Dungeon" novel by you should be fine indeed. But that bit about Fox-at-Twilight makes me look forward just a shade more...but enough of the praise now, donīt want to get you light-headed *winks*.

You know, if it was anime, that cover would attract an entirely different audience.

Could be -- could be.

The Over-Fiend violated some copyrights, not to mention the PG-13 rating, not to mention -- ahem!
