Hello,
Could someone please tell me what a Squaligue is?
My DM has used it in reference to some item.. Possible Underdark origin. Maybe extra-planar. Please help me find out what this is.
Thank you for your help and time.

| Either you do not have it spelled correctly or is a DM created thing/creature. Or at least I can not find an answer for you. |
"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards." "Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding. "After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first." I don't know either. Are you sure your DM has the correct information?

Hmmm... I know of a "squal", but that has absolutely nothing to do with D&D.
I've even tried some variations of the word "Squaligue" in various search engines and dictionaries. The only explanation that comes close is something relating to ocean-going vessels.

I am beginning to think it's a made up word, created to keep you guessing what your DM is up to. DM's are sneaky like that!

You may tell you GM that he has managed to stump many of the finest minds in Candle Keep, and a few of the coarse ones as well. |

I still think Vader walked away too quickly in that scene... .
And why did it take him so long to find Obi-Wan, after leaving so quickly?
Back on topic, to the best of my knowledge, there really is no such thing as a "squaligue". But it could be...
a.) some other word, badly mis-spelled b.)something he mis-heard, verbally, and has tried to spell and failed c.)something made up (I know I don't hesitate to do this if I think a particular widget should be called a "morphlock" or what have you) d.) a joke.
Best bet, Spree, is to ask your DM up front. And when you do, please tell us! |

| I really have no idea what "Squaligue" is. But, if he was serious. It might be worthwhile to find out what it is from him. |

| "Silenced" that is an interesting euphemism for the event that led up to him being buried in eleven different locations across the planes. |

So where can I find his head? We have ways of making the dead talk.
Eewwyuck! Didn't your mother teach you not to play with dead things. Icky-dirty-wash! And its under the lightning struck tree down the left fork of the muddy-misty-marsh road going to the dark creepy ruined castle that still makes groaning sounds. |

Actually, I think it may be the Answer to a Question... Such as,
How do you keep the finest minds of Candlekeep in suspense?
