Happy b-day, Big Al! Now let's wheel in the suspiciously large cake, the one large enough to hold a frosting-covered Lady Hooded One...
On second thought, sorry, but I think I'll keep that! |

In case anyone else is wondering what the Fright at Tristor is: click.
One hell of an obscure source there, Eric.
EDIT: Eric, is there some reason you referenced the Fright at Tristor's giant leech writeup, instead of Stormwrack's? |

Yeah, because I wrote it before Stormwrack came out. ;-)

16 megs of pure fun! Now I just need time to do a proper read. |
I hope Candlekeep continues to be the friendly forum of fellow Realms-lovers that it has always been, as we all go through this together. If you don’t want to move to the “new” Realms, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with either you or the “old” Realms. Goodness knows Candlekeep, and the hearts of its scribes, are both big enough to accommodate both. If we want them to be. (Strikes dramatic pose, raises sword to gleam in the sunset, and hopes breeches won’t fall down.) Enough for now. The Realms lives! I have spoken! Ale and light wines half price, served by a smiling Storm Silverhand fetchingly clad in thigh-high boots and naught else! Ahem . . So saith Ed. <snip> love to all, THO

Hmm...somebody tell me if I'm wrong, but is this the first time we get 3rd edition stats for Priam Agrivar? |
There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist. Terry Pratchett |

Thank goodness they went back to the "Forgotten Realms Parchement" back ground. I hate seeing Realms web enhancements on "generic" backgrounds. I don't know why, but it almost makes it feel like they (WOTC, not the designers) don't want to do the work on the enhancements.
Thank you Eric for the extra work, as always, your work is worth it! |

I believe it's the first time he's even been mentioned in 3E, though Dwalimar Omen and the Realms Master are mentioned in the 3E Shining South.
More validation of the comics. |

And I am now correcting myself. Priam is mentioned (and given the same short stats) on page 87 of City of Splendors: Waterdeep. It's in the entry about his half-sister, Kyri. |

Yeah, I thought about giving him levels in drunken master, FWIW.

I don't think that would have fit. He never did much of anything while drunk. |

I've prepared a version of Eric's "Environs of Waterdeep" web expansion with the colour backgrounds removed for easier black & white printing. Send me a private message if you're interested. |

Hello-
Seems like, tucked under the new FR downloadable maps - is a new Web Enhancement - Environs of Waterdeep. I looked at the name of the one mentioned about a month ago - and it was different - the excerpt mentionaing Ardeep - and the file size was slightly different - so it seems to me like it would be new.

I believe you are mistaken... The web enhancement is the long-awaited (and near-mythical!) second web enhancement for the City of Splendors: Waterdeep book, the same one mentioned a month ago. I just downloaded the one on the map page and checked it against the previously downloaded version, and they appear to be the same. The file size is the same, the date of modification is the same, the page count is the same... I checked a couple of entries, and the column breaks happened at exactly the same point... |

Hello-
Well - it wont be the last time I'm wrong.
Also - I was almost 100% positive that the file size was different. Now - it was not Much of a difference - I think 16 vs. 116.4 or so - but thats what I based it off of mostly.
Oh well - no biggie.

I know I'm a little late... but I'm new to the Realms, and I just bought CoS:W. It is... AMAZING!!! I've only read the first chapter, but it was excellent. I can't wait to read the rest! Oh, and the Web Enhancements sure are nice to have! I think I have a new hero- are there any novels, sourcebooks, or adventures involving Ahghairon in any way? |
Great literature is escapist, but it changes you, and you come back to your world with new eyes. D&D is the first game that's ever done that for me. -Sumana Harihareswara |

Not really. He's been dead for quite some time, and WotC prefers to stick to the present, when it comes to Realms stuff. |
