Was there a type of lizardman in the four, and if so\not what other races were there. |

Again if memory serves correct, there was a type of lizardfolk as one of the four races. I've taken a quick look at the Realms FAQ on the Candlekeep pages, but couldn't find a reference. I don't know the full four from the top of my head. It is one of the more obscure details of Realms Lore (and should remain as such )
An non-exhaustive answer on this matter can also be found in one of the 2nd edition Gods books, I believe in Faiths & Avatars. There is one of the sidebars that talks about these mysterious creator races.

Arilyn Moonblade is the person meant by Anira the Elf. She's one of the main characters in: Elfsong, Elfshadow, Dreamspheres and Thornhold.
She is also depicted on the illustration with the Harper Scout prestige class. |

I don't think any of the races is 'the best'. They have all their pro's and con's.
The problem with the non-human races is their playabillity. Playing an elf (as an example), as an elf should be, is very difficult, at least in a table top game. The same goes for the dwarf and some of the other races. Their mindset is so totally different from humans... and we are all humans.
On the other hand gives Pbem the chance of thinking actions over. In a Pbem you can look at them from all points of view and decide then what is elvisch behavior or not. So it should be less difficult to play a non-human race in Pbem
I'm an ultimate perfectionist though, and know I am not able to play an elf as I believe an elf should be played. Though they are my favorite race I lately only play humans.
boring no? |

Well, first of it definatly wasent boaring Ditalidas, I always play table top Dwarves, they are just so tough. I did try an Elf once, but burnt a Hobbit holy book in front of the priest of Gullykin, that was painful. He didn't live to tell the tale.

mmmh... What is my favorite? Depending of my moon... I really like to play elves, gnomes, fairies. And also vampires, lycantropes, drows, and others dark creatures.
But, any way, i'm really sorry but i defenitly don't like dwarves, orcs and giants. That's the way it is...
i like fast, open-minded, clever creatures.

There was a half-dragon race in 2nd edition but they were an NPC race because they had to many powers. They were alot stronger then half-drow. |

Do you mean the half-dragons from the Council of Wyrms setting, Shades? |

I got the rules for them from Dragon magazine. Don't know the rules for Council of Wryms, though learning something new never hurt. |

The Council of Wyrms wasn't bad, with some good rules about half-dragons of every kind of dragon, dragon slayers...
my favorite is the half-bronze dragon, who could be ranger until a good level.

I'd like to be a song dragon, it would be useful with the shape change an all, a brown Dragon would be cool as well though. |

If you're talking about the Forgotten Realms RPG games, I would probably pick halflings, because they make the best thieves. Of course, each race is best at a certain class, but I like halflings the best because I usually pick a thief as my character. |

And maybe thats cause your an IDIOT "king-tiax", just like your half-brained knee biters that you so enjoy. on that note, bring on the elves, dwarves, dragons..........and what ever you guys can find and throw them at the Drow, i got my money on the drow, not if they go against everyone at the same time though, there not gods, but......close! The Great Drizzt
The are powerful, but their disadvantage is that a drow can't go to sleep without waking up with a companion's dagger in his/her back. |

Easy to say when you're only the very best drow weaponmaster on the face of Faerun. I'm siding with king-tiax. |

I think that surface elves and drow elves are equal, but can gain an advantage depending on what kind of environment they are in. For example, a drow would have an advantage fighting a surface elf in the pitch-black darkness of the Underdark, but a drow would have a disadvantage fighting a surface elf in blinding light from the sun on the surface. |

Yeah, well thats already been established "drummer boy" and your wrong on one point, there are plenty of weaponmasters in Menzoberanzen alone, because every house has to have one, so theres probably 30 or so just in Menzoberanzen alone! The Great Drizzt |

Yes, I know there is more than one drow weaponmaster, but note that I was saying that Drizzt is the BEST drow weaponmaster, not the only drow weaponmaster. |

Ok, sorry drummerboy, I retract my previous statement. Thanks, Drizzt is the VERY best Weponmaster(of the Drow), even though his father Zaknafein was about the equivelent, but we'll never know now, because he sleeps at the botom of an acid pool. The Great Drizzt |

I think that Halflings are a good race. Even through the tormenting of the other races they hold strong. They are also IMHO the best thiefs in the realms. But I have to admit all elves are a close second for sure. Sorry King Tiax, Dwarves just dont have the stuff. (and then thiers the attitude, smell, and so on.....) Their is two humans however who are very adept at getting in to places and that would be Artemis Enteri, and also Erevis Cale.
