Fireheart looks back and forth between Icewolf and Raven/A...Her face showing confusion...
Spirit?? Wait...What?
And then at Icewolf (with a smile and nod at his wife)...Icewolf, love, I'm a cleric as well as a ranger...if you need healing ask, I will be happy to provide and save you some resources.
Looking around... Before we leave, is anyone else harmed? |

RaVeN's voice echos in Firehearts head. Yes a spirt. That Sword he wields contains his spirt. When the ritual that draws him into your body is done he morphs the host to his image. But the hosts soul is transported and split into 3 parts and place in the rings and amulet. These telepathic transmissions are hard because it takes extreme effort to gather enough energy from three places. Yes RaVeN is in my amulet and rings. But it takes extreme effort for the ritual so we need rest quickly. I have had some hosts that could retake their bodies from my control and force me back in the sword but RaVeN is to weak for it. I hope this clears up any confusion Fireheart. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. Looking at the area that the attacks fled to. It appears that one was bleeding and was bleeding here is a clear trail of blood. Icewolf see if your familir can track it. |

Cherrn holds his arm out and points in the direction the trail of blood leads. Out of his sleeve the silk strand emerges becoming longer and longer until no one in the group can see where it ends. Cherrn smiles softly, then closes his hand around the silk strand and slowly pulls the silk up towards his mouth and puts it in between his teeth. Cherrn closes his eyes and focuses his energy. Cherrn smiles again and whispers:
Whim of the maid, the bleeder is close... Real close...
Cherrn opens his eyes again and looks at Icewolf
Send your familiar after him, see if you can get him to head in another direction..
Cherrn grins

Icewolf nods grimly. "Yar. Find the man. Detain him. Let me know when you have him."
After Yar set off, nose close to the ground, Icewolf turned to RaVeN/A, "Alastor, with your situation, can you function in an Antimagic Field?" An idea began to form in his mind.
He begins to ready a few spells. "Vanima, dear, could you help me with this?" Vanima moved to assist, and they started working on a plan.
"OK, I formed a plan, but I want your approval before I put it into any form of finality. When Yar finds the escapee, I can teleport him back to us. Before we begin questioning, I will set up an Anti-magic field, so that he can continue talking before he becomes extra crispy." Icewolf takes a breath, "Any questions, comments, or other types of vocal communications?" |

Sounds good to me, but after leaving the field he will too burst into flames, right?. >Then turns to Alastor with a smile> If you can't sustain your form here, there is always an orc hunting party out there... |

I had an incident like that. A mage thought if he hid in an antimagic field he would be safe. Apparently not. But I can sustain myself. Once in this form I am safe but I cannot withdraw from this form. And I lose all my abilites exept my wings. Also Alastor the sword loses its thunder abilities and becomes a normal sword. So even in an antimagic field I can sustain myself but I lose my extra powers. Turns to Narad. Orc hunting, always a pleasure. We should hurry before they move. |

Cherrn runs off with Narad and catches up to his side
There should be about 12 orcs and an orc shaman elf. We should be able to handle that. They shouldn't be far now
Cherrn puts a hand on Narad's shoulder and stops him in his tracks
There... Be quiet..
Straight ahead the group of orcs can be seen. They seem to be arguing over something. Later the group can see that it is a dead deer the group is standing around. Cherrn whispers to Narad
Let me try and take out the Shaman... Ill move around to the other side..
With that Cherrn disappears into the undergrowth and starts heading around the orc party. Suddenly a loud snap is heard from Cherrn's direction. All the orcs turns towards Cherrn's direction readying their wicked swords. Cherrn shouts
Cursed! Whim of the maid!
8 orcs charges Cherrn and the rest stays with the Shaman to guard him. The silk strand pierces the air and a wave of electricity can be seen killing the first orc |

Pulling Alastor from its sheath arcoss his back throwing his shoulder into the advancing column sending three of them sprawling to the ground. But as he stands a burning pain shoots up his left side. Looks down to see that an orcs sword had made a deep stab into his side as he throw himself against them. Foul orcs. I am of no use in this condition. I have an idea though. Retreats to the tree line and begins making his way toward the flank of the orcs. he gets to the side and leaps from the treens and underbrush and using Alastor and a combination of Wings and Thunderstrikes to decapitate and land on the headless body and shoot two Bolts into the chests of near by orcs. |

>Narad quickly catches on. The orc shaman chants like mad> I'll take the shaman! >Runs towards the orcs that guard the shaman, but before Narad reaches them the shaman finishes it's spell. A shockwave shoots out from the shamans hands and hits Narad, sending him flying backwards. He crashes to a tree twenty feet away.> Uhh... >The guarding orcs don't come after, but they throw a couple of spears, trying to hit Narad. He manages to avoid them with a quick roll and then slowly gets up.> Raven/A and Cherrn, stay back! I'm going to blast them with a fireball. >Sure that his companions heard, Narad starts casting a spell. The shaman notices and starts a spell of it's own> |

Cherrn hears Narad's words and gets ready to brace himself for the impact of the fireball. Cherrn then looks at the orc shaman
Darkrose! The foul orc is gonna finish before him!
Cherrn dodges under the swing of an oncoming orc, quickly sending out a strand of silk at the orc that missed him. The silk wraps itself around the orc's waist. With a mental command from Cherrn the silk flings the orc into the orc charging sword first towards Cherrn the two orcs groan loudly as they hit eachother facefirst one orc accidentally killing the other orc with its sword. The orcs tumble together in a pile leaving Cherrn with a clear view of the orc Shaman. Cherrn looks left and spots an orc charging at him. The silk forms a tiny shield in mid air blocking the incoming slash with the wicked blade. Cherrn extends his right arm towards the orc shaman and focuses. The silk shoots out in a straight line hitting the shaman on the side of his face. The shaman falls over with a groan thus fizzling its spell only to quickly look up and watch as Narad is nearing the end of his casting. Cherrn smirks then quickly turns around and dodges another swing from an orc. Crouching low Cherrn then quickly jumps towards the orc and headbutts the tusker leaving the orc crashing down. Cherrn wipes his face with his sleeve and grins
This is going a lot better than I thought it would!
The grin is quickly replaced by amazement and pain as Cherrn feels a sudden stinging sensation in his side. Cherrn whirls around as he crumbles to one of his knees seeing the orc who accidentaly killed his friend. The orc gets ready for another swing |

As the other are fighting the orcs, Icewolf and Vanima work on carving up the ground to make the field viable for their Antimagic shell. Vanima gasps as a group of orcs comes rushing towards them. Icewolf looked at the orcs and grinned. He snapped his fingers, releasing a spell that he had memorized for the occasion. Lightning exploded into the middle of the group, blackening their skin as they died. Icewolf laughed quickly and turned back to his work. ----------- "We're done here." Yar grabbed the man's leg and dragged him inside of the circle. The mage tied the man up sp that he couldn't move. Icewolf stood and began chanting. The symbols flared and a pink dome covered the area. Icewolf gasped as the ritual was completed, and the warm feeling of magic flowing through him suddenly ceased. "Finish there, and start your questioning." He sat down, breathing heavily, watching the battle. |

Fireheart quickly looked between the oncoming orcs and the mages. Trusting the others to keep the orcs out, she stepped closer to Icewolf as the spell finished and the anti magic field surrounded the three of them.
Stepping toward the fallen human, she nudged him with her boot. "Awake?" she asked smiling.
"What da ya want?" he said suspiciously.
Fireheart looked at Vanima and Icewolf"I think we need the mage's name...don't you, milady and lord?" She then turned back toward the man and advanced with her sword.

>Narad finishes his spell. A ball of flame forms and shoots towards the shaman. As the fireball explodes, the flames instantly consume the shaman and the orcs guarding it. Icewolf puts a hand in front of Fireheart. He kneels down in front of the man, "You are in an anti-magic field. Speak freely, and you may yet live. Your associates refused to speak...at first." He leaned out of the way, and pointed at Alastor "Until he got to them. Then they screamed. As I disapprove of torture, I thought I would give you an opportunity to avoid it. Tell me, what is the name of your employer." Icewolf watched the man, and waited for the man's reply. |

>Narad cuts an orc's hand and while the creature is still howling in pain, he thrusts his sword to it's chest.> I think that was the last one >Looks around, breathing heavily. With couple of wounds bleeding Narad starts back to their camp, but then stops. He hears a sound of cracking from the forest. Narad goes to see what is the sound's source, but then a small boy rushes from the bushes holding a crude shortsword. "Back off, or I'll kill ya" the child says>

Icewolf stands and moves over to the child, "Hey kid, you look hungry." He raises an eyebrow, and reaches for the child, "And its no wonder. You put the food in the wrongs hole." He seems to pull an apple from the boy's ear, and wipes it on his robes. "There, now eat this."
The boy grabs the apple, and begins eating it. |

Cherrn clutches his side as he gets to his feet. He looks around slowly examining the battlescene with his eyes. Cherrn groans silently and thinks to himself: This weren't ordinary orcs, these greenskins actually had some skill..
Cherrn looks at his hand that he had been pressing on the wound, sees blood, his own blood. Cherrn's eyes open up wide in amazement. I can't remember the last time this happened to me, I had almost forgotten how pain felt... Cherrn chuckles to himself, then licks some of the blood off his fingers. It still tastes the same... Like a poor bottle of wine tinged with the taste of a rotten fruit. Things doesn't change much in a 1000 years. Cherrn smiles, then concentrates for a few minutes as he sends out his silk to search the area. That's exactly what I was looking for! No wonder they had such skill. Cherrn extends his hand and smiles as a small pendant is delivered into the palm of his hand by the silk. Cherrn examines it for a few seconds. Very interesting.. Cherrn puts the pendant into a small hidden pouch, then heads back to the camp. Staggering Cherrn returns to the camp. He leans up against a tree and grins
Hey there, did you guys miss me ?
Cherrn winces in pain, then sits down and leans up against a tree clutching his side, sweat appearing on his forehead. Cherrn looks at Narad with his eyes half open
Hey elf. This time I do owe you thanks.. |

Stepping out of the antimagic field and over to Chern, she says, You've been wounded, can I help? I have some small experience in healing? |

Sheathing Alastor aross his back, RaVeN/A walked painfully over to a nearby tree cluching his side. Orcs, I hate Orcs. One of the little beasts must have stabbed me as I dove into them. Pulls back his hand to reveal a puncture just below his ribcage. I might have some of that potion left in... Before he could finish he runs over to his pack sitting next to the campfire, and begins to rumage through it wildly. Until he comes to a small clear bottle with a dark red mixture inside, which he quickly drinks. After he finishes he goes through a fit of cringing and gagging. Ugh, trolls blood. Refinded and properly treated to develope hightened regenerative properties but, suger makes it useless so im stuck with horrid tasting potion. But if you can stomach it Cherrn it is more effective at regenerating and it helps remove fatigue. |

Cherrn looks at RaVeN/A and smiles, then mumbles
Trust me I think I have tasted far worse..
Cherrn takes the potion from RaVeN/A, then turns his head to Fireheart and mumbles
If this works then I will be alright m'lady, thanks..
Cherrn drinks down some of the potion, then coughs loudly as he chokes on some of it. Cherrn smiles as the coughing subsides and he starts to feel the regenerative power working on his wound. He hands the potion back to RaVeN/A.
You are right, it has a terrible taste. It does work though, thanks. |

Seeing that Icewolf had not responded to Narad, and since Raven/A's potion seemed to work, Fireheart turned back toward the anti magic zone...Icewolf and Vanima were still talking to the captive, so she looked around the woods...
She thought something was odd...it seemed too quiet. Even though the battle had ended, the sounds of the forest had not resumed...almost as if they were waiting...

Searching the orc he sees what seems to be a tatoo on his upper arm. Look at this Narad. It seems to be some kind of crest with two wings swooping out from each side. It might be a clue to who ordered this attack. Orcs usually are branded with their masters crest or some marking of their masters. Check the mage he might be the ringleader of this litttle brigade. |
