Character
Description and History When asked to describe the
experience of adventuring with Dennis, Marnie Drake (a retired, golden
haired Cormyrian swashbuckler) had this to say: "Are you sure you wouldn't like to
hear about someone else? He's a terrific musician and a friend, but an adventurer?
Word aroud the Riders of Elvenflow is that the scrawny little guy
once walled himself in with a Lyre of Building to escape from Vegepygmies!".
Bram, one time member of the Riders and famed starwheel pistol
brandishing investigator, gave this account:
"He could be a wuss sometimes, but I also remember much bravery. He recently sought
me at great length to return a Book of Thoth that I lost years before. Given its value to
a bard, the guy's got class."
Dennis began to wander the realms soon after his elven father
"passed on" in his native Aglarond. The youngest of 16, Dennis inherited only a
lemming named Ferd. Aglarondans consider them to make nice pets to the realms at large, a
lemming for a pet is just plain silly.
Dennis disguised low self esteem with a boisterous personality. An
early, disastrous attempt to magically weed Storm Silverhand's garden prevented membersip
in the Harpers. Ironically, Storm nominated Dennis for membership many years later when he
was asked to found a new Bardic College on the ruins of the original in Waterdeep.
As by this time Dennis was content with himself and married (to Celane, an elven
sage from the Moonshaes), he accepted the honor.
Like any true bard, however, he does grow restless from time to time...
Very good looking, likable, often found promoting his students at
society gigs.
Charged
by the Harpers with the guardianship of several powerful magical intruments from various
sources. |
