Well met, all!
I have searched and searched my Volo's Guides, and I can't find the passage which explains what " zzar" is. What, prithee, is it, exactly?
(Yes, I know this has been explained before, but I can't find my copy of the answer!)

Elaine, in Elfshadow, describes zzar as "a fortified wine for which Waterdeep is famed. It is a fiery orange liquid with a distinctive almond scent."
There is another description of zzar in Steven Schend's City of Splendors on pg. 55 under the "The Vintners', Distilers', & Brewers' Guild" section.
The process by which it is made was noted under the "House of Good Spirits" entry in Volo's Guide to Waterdeep.

As always, Sage, you are ... ah ... a sage! Many thanks.
