Tieflings getting no love? The horror! Tieflings have always been my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE RACE ON TORIL! Eh, well, from wherever they come from...It's probably 'cause of that planetouched bard in Baldur's Gate II, Haer'Dalis. |

Tieflings get plenty of love elsewhere, as I've seen. |

Whew! So relieved.

I like Tieflings, there is somthing cool abut them, and they are the perfekt villains. Just think of playing a creature with daemon blod in his/ her body.
I think they make cool protagonists, too. Struggling as much against the villains as the darkness within -- using powers they really shouldn't in order to conquer the very evil that gives them strength.
Ala Magadon, from the Erevis Cale series.
(Who, to be fair, isn't *really* a tiefling, I don't believe -- I think it's a "major fiendish bloodline" or something of the sort. But the idea's there.)

Elves get all kinds of sub race lovin, From aquatic elves helpin Ships (thanks Elaine), Wood elves and high elves about in seperate billings, not to mention everyone's fav dark elf with a kitty..
I'd be nice to see some serioud interracial contrasting like 2nd ed used to do with Mountain, Hlll, and Sundered. i miss those days.
The dwarves that appear in the Watercourse Trilogy are specifically mentioned as being gold dwarves from the Great Rift, and Raryn from the Year of Rogue Dragons novels was an arctic dwarf, so they have had a bit more mentions lately.

I'm looking forward to bringing several monster races to life: ogres, hobgoblins, goblins, kobolds, and hill giants. It's been fun to research all the nuances and complexities of their respective societies, the gods they worship, and so forth. In Amn's Esmeltaran they'll all be interacting as co-occupiers of the city, with the human population enslaved there. This is fresh material, so I'm particularly excited about that.
Otherwise, I guess my preference is for humans and half-elves. I like all the races, but those are most often my choices at character creation. |

Thri-kreen(also fav monster :D), basically have the same view of elves that elves have of other races. This tends to annoy the 'arrogant elf' players, especially when they never know when you might decide to eat them :D |

Dragons Orcs, but only Obould since I don't like how stupid everyone make them considering they only lag two points behind humans. |

That is an excellent point...especially since 8 INT is really just below average, it doesn't need to mean "dumb as a rock". |

I gotta go with humans just for their ability to master anything and the fact that they don't have centuries to do it. Also, doesn't anybody have love for the demons? I don't know how to spell this but here goes "Ta'naari"? Is this right? |

You just have to love the Mongrel Men of the High Forest. There's a little bit in there for fans of all the above races. Does nobody feel in the least bit sorry for the Realms' underdogs? - There's probably a bit of those in these people too. |
