I don't have a favorite race really, but if i had to answer it would be fey races (not elves), giants and goblinoids and... Well you get the picture, there are to many to chose just one.

Now this one's hard. I guess elves narrowly over dwarves. But I do like both.

When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight.

I think I would have to go with gnomes first, followed by centaurs, minotaurs, elves, dwarves and various fey, which I have never gotten a chance to play, but would like to...

Dwarves, followed by humans followed by halflings and gnomes.

If I waited till I knew what I was doing, I'd never get anything done.

Elves for me, and their antithesis the fey'ri (as my favorite evil race), though many might say that the drow are the opposite instead.

I'd have to say humans though I'm quite fond of dwarves. Personally though I'm really tired of elves they always strike me as arrogant and condescending. Also many people have a strange fixation on them.

Biological Diversity - really all of the races are unique in creation and character and I like all of them for they combined make up the feel that is the Realms. However, to be honest - I favor one race over all the rest and that is the halfling race. Luiren rocks as do all of its inhabitants and of course all those halflings outside of Luiren as well.

I agree. Although the races I like to play most are humans, elves, and half-elves.

I like the Dwarves of Forgotten Realms, but i don't like the fact that their subraces are never really pushed in canon or works that i've seen of LATE. Elves get all kinds of sub race lovin, From aquatic elves helpin Ships (thanks Elaine), Wood elves and high elves about in seperate billings, not to mention everyone's fav dark elf with a kitty..

I'd be nice to see some serioud interracial contrasting like 2nd ed used to do with Mountain, Hlll, and Sundered. i miss those days.

I actually grew to love tieflings more after playing Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark, because one possible henchman is a handsome tiefling that female PCs can romance. But overall, I much prefer the "regular" races of the Realms (and even the tiefling in the game wasn't native to Toril).
