One of the PC's in my gaming group is an award winning (in Australia) chef, so sometimes when he can make it to a game (and not at work) he offers to try some of his latest creation dishes on us before we play. So we pool our money together so we have enough to purchase the ingredients or items he will need, and then before our regular gaming session, or most of the time during, we try some of his latest creations, and normally get a great meal afterwards if we give good remarks.

Good learning...

Hope its not a dish done in the flavor of the adventure youre playing at the time, Sage. "Eye of newt" or "wing of bat" doesnt sounds too appealing to me! |

Very funny Rad.
No, in most cases the dishes consisted of exotic flavors and ingredients not used on a regular dinner tables.
In fact sometimes the meals and gaming would complement each other nicely. For example, when we once ran an adventure in Calimport, my chef friend tried to prepare several dishes that would be similar to what the citizens of Calimport would have at their dinner table. It works well sometimes, and it adds to the role-playing experience.
Or other times, when the party was at an inn or tavern, we would eat similar meals much the same as what has been served in some of the inns and taverns covered in FR novels and some adventures.
