Hello,
I was hoping that you would be able to answer some of my questions. The first of these is, Does the cult of Malar operate in the Dalelands?. In addition to this was wanting to know if anyone knew what the rules for the Preist of Malar Character class was like in 2nd Edition Rules? Any help would be useful!

Elrond

Once upon a midnight dreary, while i pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While i nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

i think the cult of Malar operates almost everywhere, so why not in te Dales, besides the dales are just near the huge forest of Myth Drannor and the Cormanthor, so the cult of the beast must be know there.
I don't know special rules about Malar priests, sorry

From Faiths and Avatars, here's a few things about the priesthood in 2E:

- They favour armor made of natural skins/hides hence allowing flexibility and rapid movement.

- Many use 'claws of Malar' as weapons. They weigh 1 pound total (half a pound each), are size S, have a speed factor 2, and inflict 1d6 of piercing and slashing (Type P/S) damage to small/medium creatures and 1d4 to large.

- Specialty Priests major spheres were: All, animal, combat, healing, plant, summoning, sun, war, weather. Minor spheres were: Divination, elemental, protection, travelers.

- Specialty priest requirements were Strength 13, Wisdom 12. Alignment is CE. Requires proficiencies were animal lore and claws of malar. Bonus proficiencies were hunting (x4) and survival (pick one).

As for more info I suggest you find yourself a copy of Faiths & Avatars, one of the best ever FR accessories.
