I was wondering if anyone could link or tell me the main differences between the two Sandril's Saga versions.
I got the newer one, should I get the old one as well? Is there that much difference?

And if the PCs DO win their ways through all the liches to Larloch, “he” will almost certainly be just another lich (loaded with explosive spells) set up as a decoy, with dozens of hidden liches waiting to pounce on any surviving PCs who ‘celebrate’ after they take Larloch down. As the REAL Larloch watches (magical scrying) from afar. Myself, as DM, I’d be wondering: “Such a glorious game, so many opportunities laid out before your PCs to devote your time to, and THIS fixation is the best you can come up with? Are you SURE you’re adventurers?” -Ed Greenwood

It's changed somewhat, but for every word Ed included in the "new" version of Spellfire, a word from the "older" published version had to be removed. So, as it is, it's a little closer to the original, but not exactly.
Both Ed and THO have discussed this in their replies here at Candlekeep. |

I am asking this with some knowledge of changes, but not sure what. I've seen it discussed here at candlekeep but I am having some problems finding the reply. I remember someone mentioning that certain villians were cut out? |

The main difference is that the malaugrym subplot that was excised from the original "Spellfire" has been put back into the second version (with some material from the first version taken out to accomodate it).
