Hey guys, I am helping a friend of mine dm his first campaign in Forgotten Realms. He is going to set his campaign in the Silver Marches. It will be mostly be based out of Silverymoon. He will be starting his players at 2nd level. We are looking for a villian that is about 6-8th level. He didn't like any of my ideas so I wanted some more options for him.
He and I thank you in advance for any suggestions

Jorren, the druid from Fang, Beak and Claw (a free Forgotten Realms adventure) is pretty cool, and should fit into the Silver Marches. |

How about a member of the Eldreth Veluuthra? Perhaps there are plans for expanding the Silver Marches' territory and word of this has reached the elves. They could be assasinating key players in this expansion, which is where your characters come in. They could even stumble upon a killing in progress and assist the intended victim, leading them into the story. |

The black blood is a good idea as well, i mean who doesn't like to fight malar were's that are evil. |
"Develop the latent abilities within you for that is your power alone. Psionics is the ultimate art of magic and you are its practitioner. Through lifelong dedication, strive to unite your will with your physical form to become one. Only through the unrestrained union of one’s mind and body can the magic of psionics truly be mastered. Throw off the yoke of any who would impose tyranny upon you. Likewise, do not ever force another to submit to your will. Free your mind, free yourself and you have only just begun the path to true psionic mastery. Free others, open their minds to the Invisible Art, and you will show them way to Auppenser." ---Dogma of the Church of Auppenser |

Well one does not need to use a canon character. I do not know what you proposed so it becomes harder to propose other ideas.
One idea of course is an adventurer gone bad, deciding it is easier to become powerful by breaking the rules then following them. An option like this also any class ot multiclass combination for the BBEG. |

the party is only 2nd Lv right? and with a new DM?
I think those suggestions may be too advanced (the Eldreth Veluuthra and the Pelple of the Black Blood)...I would suggest a simple ruin exploration or maybe caravan duty to introduce the Silver Marches...
and I don't know what the Fang, Beak and Claw adventure is like |

If you have it, the Silver Marches sourcebook has 3 or 4 adventures in the back. They are appropriate for different levels of parties. ~Kes |
Ack! I seem to have too much blood in my coffee stream!

Yeah. I started my party off in the town of Deadsnows, which is detailed quite nicely in the Silver Marches sourcebook. It isn't quite as daunting as starting off in Silverymoon, which is huge and complex with tons of powerful characters running around. I modified a couple of the Deadsnows adventures for my game and is was well recieved. Good luck! |

He has Dm'd before but just in the Eberron campaign setting (bleh). But I have begun to show him the light. That's why I agreed to sit on a few of his session with his player's kinda playing the Dm assistant so to speak. Thanks for all the ideas so far I am sure this will help greatly! |
