1. If someone with a fly spell on them goes underwater. What happens (in terms of how they move, duration etc)?

2. Can magic circle against evil be used offensively against outsiders? i.e. will moving towards an outsider (with the spell cast on oneself) force it to move backwards out of the range of the circle

3. (forgotten it now, will edit it in when I remember).

Thanks in advance for any help
Big Love

1. Fly does not help underwater movement, it is a different environment. Once underwater the movement and limitations will be the same as if the spell was not cast on them.

2.

You must overcome a creature’s spell resistance in order to keep it at bay (as in the third function of protection from evil), but the deflection and resistance bonuses and the protection from mental control apply regardless of enemies’ spell resistance.
appears to indicate that yes evil creatures can be forced to stay 10 foot away. Non evil outsiders appear to not be effected.

I don't have my books available to me, but in general all of the protection spells I've seen can't be forced onto those that are affected by the spell. If at the time of the spell's casting someone would be immediately affected, the affected character makes a saving throw of some kind or be forced to flee from the area of effect.

Dark Curtains - Takes place in the Savage North, starting in Nesmé. I wrapped my campaign into the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, but it takes place in 1372 DR.

Protection from Evil (a lessor spell) can not be used to herd evil creatures. It does appear that this higher level spell is not subject to colaspe if an Evil is traped between a wall and the spell effect. My call is a Judgement call and indeed might be in error.

Thanks. I believed there was a spel (resilient sphere maybe) where it specifically said if you try to use it offensively i.e. force someone against it, then the spell collapsed. Just wondered if it was the same :)

That 3rd question never did come back to memory, oh well
