I read about them on wikipedia and I was wondering if this was realms specific or general D&D. I have never read or heard about it anywhere else and I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me about them and their whereabouts in the D&D world in either novels or gaming books. thanks
They're an organisation tied to the worship of Corellon and described in the "Affliated Orders" section of the entry of the elven god in Demihuman Deities.
thank you Sage. I looked up this book and it pre-dates my time in the realms. My friend is playing as a cleric of Corellon and was keen on being a part of an organization of some sort that ties into the elf's faith, from what it sounds like, this is a good group. thanks again.
BTW... the entry for Corellon in Demihuman Deities notes several other knightly orders and organisations for elven worshippers of Corellon. It might do to have your friend read the relevant sections and determine which of the groups referenced matches what he/she is specifically looking for in terms of the PC.
