I'm a player in an FR campaign and our DM lost an NPC. Well, actually, he just misplaced the name. The sad result, thus - is he ends up being called "Bob." I'd like to help our DM out by finding the name, so that he can spend his valuable time working on something ... more valuable.

The NPC is an Elf ... a High-Elf, not human friendly in any way. He's in Cormyr, possibly as an ambassador from Evermeet. He could just "be" from Evermeet, too. He might be in the Hullack Forest.

He has some level of wealth and he might have ... killed his brother and his human wife, and raised the half-elf child as his own. It's possible.

Does this guy ring a bell to anyone? If so, can anyone site a source for him?

This sounds like a home-grown NPC. You're on your own here.

Indeed.

I made a quick scan of relevant Cormyr-Hullack Forest PDF resources before I left for the library this afternoon and found little in the way of an actual NPC fitting the parameters given in the initial post.

If there is such a canon NPC in the Hullack, I would like to know about it. I have read quite a few sources on that area as background fodder for a PC but have not heard of a High Elf based around there.

Tell your DM to check the "The New Adventures of Volo" article Cormyrian Contacts in Dragon Magazine #276. It has an elf in Hullack Forest called Shaundyl Berethyl.

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

He would have at the very least been partially canon. I'll ask him if Kajehase has the right name.
