Hi fellow players, it's been a while since I came to these hallowed halls!!!

I come with a request for help. I'm looking for a map of Cormyr with a detailed description of all the major and medium locations of importance. I have a new map but more than half the locations I don't know what they are or anything of they're history. I've been reading the book of "Cormyr" and I also hope I can read the "Volo's Guide to Cormyr", but it would be of great help if there was some good soul out there that could help me with a detailed map??

If you can't help me with the map, then if you could tell me the most obvious sources of information about Cormyr. I would be ever debtfull!

Thanks ahead for the attention. Just the Qindahearted

Volo'S Guide to Cormyr is a great Scource!

I think you can download it at wizards.com, just check at previous editions!

Volo's Guide to Cormyr is indeed available for free from the Wizards downloads page.

The old 2E sourcebook Cormyr has a poster-sized, full-color map of the Forest Kingdom.

Also, don't forget the Candlekeep Map Room here, which has a map of Cormyr as well provided by Yack Tundra:- http://candlekeep.com/library/maps.htm

Thanks Fellow Sages. I found a map but it as so many locations, not detailed in the book Cormyr that I don't know what to make of them. I've checked the map here at the site but it isn't half as complete. I believe all those locations must of have been created by the creator of the map. I found the map at this site: http://www.randomdialogue.net/gaming/cormyr/cormyrmaps.php
In PDF format. Could you tel me if some of those locations truly exist or if they are made up??

If this is too much to ask, then my apologies it isn't my intention to cause trouble.

looks like the ordinary Ad&d 2nd edition Faerun map - to be found in the Campaign Setting - to me....

.... those peaks are for real, but I'd rather go for a more detailed map, as you can find (in parts) in Volo's Guide to Cormyr.

maybe interesting for you, download also the "Four from Cormyr" Advenure, with a few minor changes they make excellent adventures in Cormyr!

That 'Detailed Cormyr Map' is a modified version of that in the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas; most or all of those locations are authentic, compiled from the dozens of other sources that feature Cormyr.

Again, I think the map in the 2E sourcebook Cormyr is likely your best bet. You can buy the pdf for just $4 or $5. Not only will you have the more detailed map, you'll have the book describing the locations.

The FRIA map that you linked to (direct link is at http://www.randomdialogue.net/gaming/cormyr/cormyr.pdf), is my favorite; it's the one that I use for my campaign, and the distances and proportions are excellent. (WotC really screwed up the Cormyr section of the "big map" when they stretched the whole thing to fit Evermeet on there. Nothing matches up, anymore.) It's also got the most adventure locations from other sources, as noted above. I recommend it.

Hi friends beside's Volo's guide, Elminsters ecologies and Cormyr the book, are there any other sources that might detail all the locations in cormyr? You have mentioned also Four from Cormyr does it detail locations??
I was also interested in another detail! I know that in certain locations it's possible to mine copper, Iron and in a few other places; gems? but I have found no mention if the Storm horns or Thunder peaks hold such riches? The rumor goes that the ruling house Obarskyr seems to have a mine that depletes an endless quantity of emeralds, what's the story behind this rumor does anyone know??
One last question, the rulers are revealing a great interest in raising a town named Redspring and it is said in Volo's guide that this town will have an important role in business in Cormyr, does anyone know what is the story or rumors about this town??

Thanks ahead for any answers, by the way DestroyYouAlot excellent Idea about the Haunted Halls!! Sincerely Just the Qindahearted

You can look through the detailed replies from Ed and Garen (Cormyr) Thal here at Candlekeep. Working with potential NDAs in mind, Ed has managed to share a few choice tidbits from time to time about the Forest Kingdom. They're at the URL in Kuje's sig.
