Here is my situation, I'm in the process of converting the Temple over to Faerun and am dealing in the Lands in Intrigue area. My oldest daughter and a friend of hers are getting into the gaming thing now. I would like to stay in the Lands of Intrigue, instead of putting up new maps.
I need ideas to get 10 years interested into gaming and would like to stay within the borders of Tethyr and Amn and maybe even Calimshan. I'm thinking starting off in a small village let them get use to the village life and have a mine close by that would be ruled by Goblins and/or kobolds and eventually upgrade to Orcs.
A friend of mine said to do something of a Fairy tale which could be possible around Efreeti/Djinni. Any other types of Ideas? My daughter and her friend did create Wizards before and I'm trying to talk them into choosing different classes instead of the same class and maybe look into other races as well and everything has their ups and downs with each. All I know is that I would like to take the teaching slow since they both have good imaginations. So any help and ideas is very much appreciated.
NOt sure what temple you are working on converting - but I'm sure there are proably several possible places in the ares you mentioned that will do the trick.
As far as their chosen characters - if they both chose wizards - consider that they are both apprenticed to the same mage - and maybe s/he needs them to complete some task - possibly delivering or picking something up - unusual spell components work well - from someone in another town/city or somesuch - and that s/he hires some 'assistance' for them - in the vein of an adventuring party - or some caravan guards or something - so that there is some muscle too. S/he could even provide them witha scroll or three in case there is trouble - like magic missile or sleep - to augment their own paltry (at low levels) spellcasting.

I do plan on doing a Wizard/Apprentice type campaign if they both make wizards and I have the wizards assistant made up as well. The Wizards name is Lovithan and his assistant is a little halfling named Timmy. Npcs I worked up for my first shot at the Temple of Elemental Evil in Greyhawk which now I'm converting over into Faerun which has it's own topic of the Temple in Faerun.
I also have other NPCs which I could bring into the Campaign if need be especially since I'm concentrating around the Land of Intrigue now and would like to stay there for awhile and not have any other distractions on my table.
I need some Ideas!!!
