For all of you that have read all the books in the Sembia Series so far, how do you rate them (in what order, most enjoyable to least enjoyable would you put them).

Ive only read Halls of Stormweather so far which i quite enjoyed and am reading Shadows Witness at that moment (about 1/2 way though) and am loving it!

I have not read the Black Wolf one yet is that about the lycanthrope guy? Just wondering. I think Erevis Cale and Artemis Enteri should have a dule. It would be a great show. Drizzt is also good. I think those would be the top three. any comments? Anyway back to topic I liked the Shadows Witness better than The Halls of Stormweather. Much more action.

Halls of Stormweather was such a cool idea tho, a novel in 7 parts, at first u have no idea y its so choppy then after u realize that each section is a "get to know" prelude to the full novel coming about that character

personally i think it is one of WOTC/TSR FR's best ideas ever....the concept was neat , u read a little about each character, then in each novel u learn a lot about one and a little bit about the others...very cool idea...and again i say it is a great series all around.

I really liked the character of Bileworm.
He seemed to have a lot of fun.

Well ive just finished reading "The Shattered Mask" and I loved it! Its following the same high standard as "Shadows Witness" and the author has done an excellent job. I cant wait to start "Black Wolf"!

I agree with Bellua Aeneus Lacerta about Bileworm! What a great character and so funny

After reading all those nice things about Black Wolf, I have decided this is now my favorite place on the web. Thank you, all you kind people!

If you liked Black Wolf, you'll probably like Lord of Stormweather, which is slated for release next March. I've also written a short story for Dragon Magazine #304 as a sort of prelude to that novel. Lord of Stormweather gave me a wonderful opportunity to bring back some favorite characters from earlier novels in the series, as well as to write from the point-of-view of some fascinating personalities: Tamlin, Thamalon, Cale, and . . . well, the last one would be telling too much.

Cheers,

Dave

Welcome aboard Dave, glad to see you on the forum

I havent read Black Wolf yet but ill be starting it within the next couple of days (ive just finished The Shattered Mask and am on the last chapter of Cormyr: A Novel (yeah i know, im a little bit behind )) and I am REALLY looking forward to reading this. The Sembia series has been absolutely fantastic so far. An excellent idea which works out perfectly. I hope WotC see the success of this series and produce similar novel projects. The way that the events of previous Sembia novels creep into the following novel makes it all the better. Like i said, I cant wait to get stuck into Black Wolf, from what I hear its one of the best Sembia novels and its certainly a subject which interests me.

...and as ArcticKnight says, can you shed any light and reasoning behind the cancellation of Pride of the Lion (please post to: http://www.candlekeep.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=243) and the juggling of authors writing on characters who they didnt originally write about in Halls of Stormweather?
