MSATRAN kindly remove that post before you spoil anyone else
Eric Boyd has already told us that Page 28 contains spoils from Book 3 of the Last Mythral so we'd all know not to read it.... and then you come along and post the BLOODY THING WITHOUT ANY GODDAMN WARNING!!!!!!!

I'm very disappointed to hear this . Eric specifically warned us all about the spoilers for Final Gate in PoF before the tome's release... so it only seems logical to assume that we should've all respected Eric's kindly warning.
However, this has not occured. Wooly, Big Al... you'll have to remove the offending post itself since neither Kuje or I can do so.

Now that I've deleted this Oh so offensive post, I have a question for you, oh ye of big demands.
Do you run a D+D game? AT ALL? I run a semi-living Forgotten Realms world and have for more than 18 years. When something like this happens, as a DM, don't you want to be PREPARED?
If you have players in your game at all, consider the ramifications of something like what just happened. I would want at least a year of warning before something like this. I was lucky to get three days.
When the book is officially released, you can try and stuff my head down a toilet if you want. But quite frankly, I'm hoping you'll share my outrage.
The book was brilliantly executed in every other aspect. It had thousands of useful things in it for ANY game, not just a Realms Game. But since everyone here is essentially a "theme nazi", or we wouldn't be here in the first place, I submit that that one, single stupid little detail CAN ruin your whole day. This did.
Your angry posts did not. I treat everything very rationally, except when I snap. I haven't snapped in a long time. This got me there in precisely three seconds.
Have a pleasant day, everyone. |

Well met
I hadn't seen the actual post before it was removed so am unable to comment as to what was written.
However, msatran has now removed this spoiler. Apologies to those who had read the spoiler before any moderator could get here in time. Please let's leave this here and move on to discussing other aspects of the tome
Thank ye. |

Dang! I missed the original post but I think it's up on the WotC Boards where msatran demands that Rich Baker be sacked. Golly, if that happens, they'll have to dismember Slade ...

Wow. Having gone through the book on a skimming basis, I must say what happens to Amn came out of left field. It also appears that we may witness a rebirth of more than one deity.... |

EDIT: And, as always, I will take questions from those who do not possess this tome yet. |

It's one hell of a wow-worthy moment. Although I completely forgot about it and ended up looking at military titles first. |

Cheeky as this question may be, could you PM me the spoiler details which we've all been wondering about for the last few days? By which I mean the now almost mythical sidebar on page 28!
I don't mind getting spoiled on any FR plotline, I'm just too impatient to wait for the correct novel/product!

To be fair to Rich Baker, please consider waiting until his novel comes out and read it there. I really feel bad about leading a novel with a spoiler.

I understand what you're saying, Eric. I mean no disrespect to Rich Baker and his great novel trilogy. I've enjoyed the Last Mythal books so far and I see no reason why I won't go on to purchase and enjoy the final installment.
It is a shame in some sense that the publishing schedule does spoil some of the ending to Rich's novel, but I for one am not upset by spoilers, in fact quite the opposite. I went into Revenge of the Sith last year knowing the soundtrack, script, comic-book adaption, cut scenes and much more. Yet I still found that to be my most enjoyable movie-going experience in a long time. Spoilers do ruin the mystery, but for some of us that's just what we're wanting.
Anyways, I won't ruin it for anyone and I look forward to "The Final Gate" regardless.
GH
EDIT: Sorry to sidetrack this thread somewhat, I'll leave it to get back on topic. I can't wait for payday and my chance to get a copy of Power of Faerun. |

The court herald is a variant loremaster, IIRC. Don't remember the specifics off-hand.

And there is much sadness in the hamster's home, because FedEx hasn't gotten the book to my FLGS yet. So I guess I have to wait until the morrow to see what the page 28 spoiler is... |
