Greetings to you Decay9, and welcome to Candlekeep.
Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the Realmslore. You will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been provided by the Great Sages themselves.
So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, simply find the appropriately place in the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes will be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.
See you in the library .

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

^.^ Thank you Sage, and um, Wooly Rupert for the welcome! ^.^ I have been playing D&D since the first core rulebooks. and I have quite a few characters in Sigil and the Outlands, so, I am fairly competent. But if I have any questions I will certainly ask! |

Well met and welcome to Candlekeep! |
"What's that," asked Mogget. "Sardines," said Sam. "I knew they were standard rations, so I got a few tins for you." "What are sardines?" Moggest asked suspiciously. "And why is there a key? Is this some sort of Abhorsen joke?" Abhorsen by Garth Nix

Do you also campaign in the Realms, or just in the planescape?

Thank you all so much for a welcome. ^.^ I am still getting used to the forum, but I think I can figure things out.

I love the planes! And yes I also campaign in the realms, though usually when the characters there get more powerful, they end up going to the planes for various reasons. I am also about to make a new character to play in a Dragonlance campaign setting. |

Little belated but, Welcome. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Yeah, sorry about that. I was probably working on stuff and answering threads. Alaundo works me to the bone. :) |
