Ok so the spell Nar Fiendbond from LEoF adds the Half-Fiend template to a creature. How would you work this on a creature already possessing the half-vamipre template from Libris Mortis?

Well, even this being a strange thing to behold, the better way is to add and consider the two templates for the pityful target.
I donīt know if this go happen with a PC or NPC, but the primal thing to be considered is the brutal change of feelings/perspectives/morals and so that will happen with the poor lad.

This kind of change isnīt only a "corporal improvement full of nice powers". It have a cost (and it is very hard to pay considering this two templates). The character will have to learn how to survive with his new improved sense of survival and bloodthirsty caused by his vampire side, and learn one way (or stay mad with) the demonic persona developing together with the demonic change...

But that is just my opinion in this matter.

My inclination would be not to permit applying a second template at all. Though in fairness I have not looked at either template to become half either.

A half-vampire means half dead in one way or another, a fiend is clearly alive fully.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

Well this is for an NPC so it being a little overpowered is ok.

The character is already a sadistic beast. She is the bodyguard for an epic level Netherease lich. (with such glorious feats such as Mutilator, Reaping Spell, and Lichloved).

Insanity wouldn't really bother her any as she's already so crazy and depraved she wouldn't notice.

I'm not sure I understand your question, she's a half-vampire now, so when the spell is cast on her, just add the half-fiend template at that point. There's nothing that says she can't have both templates, unless she's undead and the spell description's target is "any living creature". Just keep in mind that the level adjustment and CR adjustments will increase. Templates can let you create some nasty baddies, I created an advanced gargantuan Corrupted Blightspawned Tendriculous for a recent campaign, it was ridiculous! (a ridiculous tendriculous)

Sounds sweet, Lichloved is from BOVD isn't it? I love the BOVD, it really gives a DM a chance to create some truly evil characters. I never even look at it when I'm playing, but when I'm running it gets more use than most of ny other books.

in savage species they give advice how to go about stacking templates. it was called something like a pyramid and iirc you shouldnt/couldnt add any other template after some undead template. have to look it up.
