In my current Zhentarim Campaign the PC's are in Archendale and are about to have a run in with some Archen riders.
I am curious, how does everyone think Archenriders should be broken down by class...
Fighters? Rangers? Any Prestige Class that fits?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps I should try this topic on the WotC boards. People there seem to be more concerned with Game Mechanics than lore so it would probably be more appropriate there anyway. |

Honestly, I don't think thier chain of command has ever been printed..... I'd go ask Ed. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

I ditto Kuje, but for now the best idea is fighters. Remeber, Archendale is currently pushing the deforestation of much of the dales. The Swords want to use this prime resource to deal with archendale's enemies, and Rangers tend not to like the whole deforestation thing. Fighters trained well with the composite longbow and long (or bastard) swords seem like the best bet (LN). Due to Archendale's militaristic nature, they would have fairly easy access to some serious military training, thus making Archen riders Fighters and not simply Warriors.
Also, you might splice some things up and include with them a cleric of Helm. |
