Folks, I've crafted a new scroll for this side discussion, to halt the cluttering of Erik's fine works.

Sage, my hero!

Now, if we want to come up with good casting choices for MY books, on the other hand . . .

Shadowbane?

Myrin?

Fayne?

Twilight?

Cheers

hmmm who to play Twilight...... hmmmm
well she had sex in a dungeon, so Id say someone with a dirtymind other than a porn star.....
Christina Angulara maybe??

why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

Ooh. If we're going to go with pop stars, I'd err more toward Amy Lee or Shakira.

I know I said Evangeline Lilly for Arilyn (and Elaine has said in the past she liked that match), but she'd make a good Twilight as well.

And really, what do you think adventurers *do* during all those extended rests?

Cheers

P.S. And who said porn stars were out of the running?

Embarrassingly, I'm going to admit that I still have yet to read Downshadow. Sorry Erik.

Though, Lilly gets my vote for Twilight as well.

I said *nothing* about people who could act, Wooly, but the point is well made. Third time's the charm on D&D movies!

@Ruul: Lindsay Lohan? Srsly?

Totally! Athletic build, demure, a little psychotic. Although, you'd need to write Twilight with a mind dust addiction to go along with Lohan.

Sounds more like Fayne, really. Lohan as a really sexy villainess?

I think HBC (one of my favorite actresses) would be a better Twilight. The ages makes more sense as well.

Hey! This is not the place for attacks on people, for any reason--much less hate because someone is annoyingly super-hyped.

Everyone has opinions upon what is attractive and what is not. Let's try to be respectful of those opinions.

Question is who would we let Lady Gaga play?

"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is
to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious
thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed
words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn

my apologies.
her along with Britney spears just irk me as they spent to much time in the media with negative publicity without having a movie or music out.

personally I used to think lohan was good looking,

Yeah, porn stars kind of kill a conversation.

So, how about those Realms, non?

Sorry, I don't remember the names of most of the actors/actresses (except El Hedgehog, Ron Jeremy). Mostly because I only watch it for the creative plots and realistic special effects.

I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

Thank you, my fellow scribes. Now I can't stop thinking of porn-related titles that might feature Twilight.

Just an update, y'all:

Finished the first draft of Shadowbane and sent it off to my editor Friday. I think it turned out pretty well, with a lot to offer n00bs and long-time fans of the Realms alike, and also people who've read my stuff before and people who have no familiarity with it at all.

Also, I know the James Brothers are going to go nuts over one specific part.

Cheers

I think you might have mentioned it, yes.

I'm very happy with how it's turning out, and I think it's going to be a fitting addition to the Realms lexicon.

Not to mention lots of butt-kicking, either for goodness or otherwise.

This is subject to change, mind you, but as written now, it takes place about a year after the events of Downshadow.

You mean does it have a suitably scantily clad Twilight draping herself languorously across Matt James's lap and whispering sweet nothings in his ear?

Er, no, that's not quite the reason.
