Interesting... We might have to bug the author, to see if he can drop any tidbits. |

I'm sorry Erik, I must've missed this news.

Of course you didn't. I keep that ability a secret.
And it's not like I've been holding my tongue all that long. I've only had the book written since January, after all.

Hrm, we'll see . . . in the meantime, what do *you* think it means?
Knowing me, it's apt to be a bit, erm, DARKER than the Cat Stevens song.
In fact, yeah, think OPPOSITE of the Cat Stevens song.
In fact, never play that song again!
(Curse ye gods, now it's stuck in my head too! )

So it's like a Nine Inch Nails song and will make me want to scratch out my eyes and ears so as to stop all sensory inputs?

There's actually a NIN song on the playlist for one of the main characters of the book.

Congrats on the book, I look forward to it. |

There's a great version of that tune out there that has Super Mario Brothers sound effects added in. The timing of some of the sounds and lyrics is great, too -- particularly when the sound of Mario going into a pipe plays. |

Actually I was a huge fan back in the day, wore out The Downward Spiral when it came out. But that one song with the mechanical noise like nails on a chalkboard all throughout it makes me insane! And the best NIN song ever is This!

From "Year Zero?" Heh. An interesting choice. And considering the actual subject matter of the song, I think I'm starting to understand just a little of what this character could be facing in the book -- in Realms terms of course!
Thanks Erik. |

I've been cleared to answer:

Downshadow is the name of a location in the Waterdeep of the 4e Realms.
As for *where* it is, I might hint that it's somewhere "down" and "shadowy." Got a guess?
