Lurue's Horn! Now that is something to look forward to... I just hope they stick with the history presented in the boxed sets, and the changes in the articles in Dragon... |

Thanks Dargoth for sharing this news. I look forward to reading these articles. Plus, a tip of the hat for this very wise move by WOTC which should build more excitement about the city above Undermountain for releases later this year. |

Well, this could be a fabulous enhancement for Undermountain and FR or it could be "Locales of the Realms" (i.e. bland, generic stuff with a stray FR reference slapped onto it to make it Realmsian) underground. I sure hope it's the former.
And I recall Matthew Sernett's response to me when I pitched a lore-heavy FR article for DRAGON, where he basically said that it was something only a full-on FR fan would read and appreciate and that it had little other utility (or words to that effect). Looks like the wheel has come full circle. The stuff that he had to reject as not suitable for DRAGON is now the material he has to crank out himself. Rather ironic, really. Let's hope his love for the setting shines through and he adds just as much lore and information as he does stats and CR ratings.

That would make my day... the former option that is .
I've never had the opportunity to flesh out the Undermoutain as much as I would have liked. Perhaps this will finally be the answer.
Do we know when the articles are slated for release?

Excellent
Although it would have a long way to go to cover the ground that Steve Allen has in his Rooms of Undermountain here at Candlekeep. |

WOTC_Mark said this should be updated tonight around midnight eastern. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird
