BG1NPC Team is looking for submissions for Alora's BG1 Romance (Phase III). Info on BG1NPC Project can be found here:

http://www.gibberlings3.net/bg1npc/

Alora is a witty and sweet Halfling rogue found in the Hall of Wonders in Baldur’s Gate. Nightmare of BG1NPC had developed a comprehensive set of banters and interjections for the character and is currently working on her Quest. We are interested in seeing comprehensive suggestions for Alora’s romance.

The romance will ideally include: approximately 20 main-stream dialogues, PID flirt pack (the author's preference) and other characters reactions on the romance (the author's preference);

It should include:

1) A break down of the romance (topics for 15-20 dialogues)
2) A writing sample of 1 or 2 full dialogues
3) Suggestions on an alternative location for Alora, so she would be accessible a bit earlier in the game.

The author of the prospective romance:

1) will have a good working knowledge of BG1
2) will be able and willing to cooperate with the Character Czar and keep Alora’s character close to the project’s interpretation
3) will be capable of working on a firm schedule and meeting deadlines;
4) will be capable of starting writing immediately and completing the writing in spring 2005

Bonuses: ability to write D-file style, but no coding skills are required.

Im not a coder by any means, nor do I have a grasp of what even D-writing is, but something struck me after reading this post. Do you think it would be viable to include a continuation of this romance in BGII starting even in the dungeon somewhere upon entry? Just a thought to give it a bit more length. Asking here only because I am not someone able to contribute digitally to this idea/concept, and don't think I should post at the gibberlings3 site for that reason. Moderators, please correct me as needed. Thanks

My take on extending its length within BG1 is placing Alora if the player choses to install the romance in Gullikin; I do not see why the romance cannot be continued into BG2. Ajantis romance Jastey writes for BG1NPC will be continued by her into BG2 with minimal repetition. I am doing the same for Kivan.

I want to highlight, that I am looking for a writer for BG1 only, and will not personally warrant technical support for any BG2 developpment that may arise as a result of BG1 implementation.

I will however code and implement it for BG1NPC.
