Lolth really doesn't care what happens to the drow, as much as she simply wants revenge on the Seldarine and enjoys commiting evil acts. Read the prefaces to the War of the Spider Queen novels, the Starlight and Shadows trilogy, and Evermeet: Island of Elves for more information. |

Cardinal said- Quote: Personally, I'm partial to Half-fiends and Tieflings but As for the Drow vs. some other elven race....hhhmmmm ______________________________________________________________________
Will:
Cardinal,I couldn't agree more about the Tieflings but I also like the Aasimar. My character here the half-orc,Will-o-Deep as you have called him has a wild combination in his blood. Aasimar--Night Hag----Alu-fiend--Githzerai <--Mother's side Orc--Dwarf-----------Yuan-ti--Human <--Father's side Mother + Father = one screw ball half-orc

Courage isn't the lack of fear but rather believing in and doing what you know is right even though fear is present.

Well my friend, let no one say that your ancestory is... questionable at best, Still you seem a worthy and honorable man and I would gladly stand at your side in combat.... just a fair distance away... some of the races you claim herritage to.... they smell |

The most successful race on Faerun is undoubtedly the goblins. These little vermin spawn faster than anything else in the realms and seem to hide in every sewer, cavern and dungeon you can think of not to mention the rampant populations infesting the countryside.
My personal favorite would probably be the drow. Who can resist their Spell Resistance and spell-like abilities? |

Agreed the goblins r everywhere n seemingly have some involvment in many main events in the Realms. But look at the role they played in these events, they were always the lackeys, gruntmen, or meaningless vermin(as u said)uncared whether they live or die. This was the case in nearly every occation. Akar Kessell used them as an army, and heck, even Gruumsh's army was composed of goblins. But in all these occations, they never have any impact and they never win, also they r vermin and have not advanced nearly at all.
Id say humans r the superior race. As the wisest of the elven sages said(when humans were new 2 the Realms), observing the capability for adaptation in these beings, called them the "Inheritor Races," the ones that would rule the world in ages hence. And he was right! |

Bah! Human are a disease that plunders the world and in the end comsumes it. Humans are the wretched off spring of Tanar'ri.... Hold the phone.... the True ancestral home of Humans: The Abyss! Driven from their layers in the Abyss, these beings from the abyss fled the power of the Tanar'ri and settled in innumeral worlds. Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Dragonlance, etc. So long have they been gone from their homes that Humans are no longer considered outsiders. Whaddaya people think?
As for goblins, I've never thought about them in any other way other than fodder but.. Are they not like roaches? And are not Roaches survivors if nothing eles? I think you may be on to something there... They just need the right leader... But I'm more partial to Kobolds (Cobalts?) and Gnolls. |

Indeed, they are quite a bit like roaches...individually weak, but you just can't wipe them out.
Kobolds are another roach race but for some reason, they don't do well on the surface. Gnolls don't strike me as being successful at much of anything. |

Orcs do well, they breed very quickly, they are very strong, and if put under the correct leader. (Example the lone drow, read it and you will understand i wont give spoilers.) If you look the Races of Faerun book and look under the orc section, there is a race of orc the Orog that is the only orc that has a positive charisma modifier. |
Some believe there is something more after death, if you really want to find out... go kill yourself and stop pestering me. |

Yes, agreed! Orcs may be are definitely one of the greatest scourges of the Realms, especially the North. Unfortunately, they seem to only be able to conquer areas for short periods of time and don't have any serious long term goals. They also don't have much cohesiveness. Maybe they just haven't found the right career plan yet.
Orogs are one of my favorite subraces. I use an Orog Vampire Fighter/Rogue/Blackguard in one of the adventures i'm currently writing.

U must agree that humans r the dominant race in the FR...as the ancient elven sages had predicted |

Demons! Demons are the best... But in the realms, I guess it would be he vampire, so strong, but yet, so weak! not many succeed in killing them without magic, those who do are amazing, if not lucky!
Trafaldi: Is the lone drow good? I just finished thousand orcs myself... Sad ending... I hope Mirabar gets a lesson... it should be ruled by dwarves that ciy... |
You may believe there is a all good and loving god who tells you: love everyone, even your strongest enemies! bah! can the torn and bloody victim love the bloodspattered jaws that rend him limb from limb? |

1: Drow 2: Dwarf 3: Elf 4: Dragon
Humans are the domanaint speicis because they are quickest to repraduce. Compare them to every other race. Elves for example. If an elf dies it takes what 100 years for a new one to reach maturity? Humans reproduce like rabbits in comparison but that doesn't nessacarily make them a deciess. Their probley the most flexable charictors. |
