In The Silent Blade, Drizzt and his band are on their way from Icewind Dale to Carradoon to deliver the Crystal Shard to Cadderly. At one point, they take the river boat Bottom Feeder in Baldur's Gate with a band of dwarves to follow the Chiontar. After some time, they set the boat to a fallen tree and gather supply; it is unclear whether it's a hunting ground, a cache or a farm, but they quickly come back with enough food to feed four dwarves and a halfling. The narration then mentions that they have been followed for two days by a band of goblins. Shortly after the ensuing battle, they learn that they must go to a village called Yogerville, "a small hamlet east of Baldur's Gate", "four buildings behind a bluff and trees". They are told that the "downstream currents will take you there quickly".

I believe we should be able to locate the place for stopping, and from there the hamlet downstream of there. "Bottom Feeder had been going generally north for the past hour, for the river hooked at this juncture, but the boat would soon turn back east, then south, then back to the east once more. Crossing the fairly open moving directly to the east, the goblin band would get to the banks in the east far ahead of the dwarves' boat". According to the second edition map, the Chiontar meanders three times between Baldur's Gate and Elturel:

Map

A and C seem too small to have been travelling north for one hour, but B goes north-east rather than north. So where would you say Yogerville should be placed?

Well river current speed does vary depending on the contour of the bed width of and depth both can be factors. It might take more time to travel the same distance. Speed generally is estimated to be between two and three miles per hour. That though is a guideline, current can slow to one mile of goes faster in narrows. I do not see scale of distance on your map.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."
