I couldnt resist Following Elronds mention in another post, I have hereby self-proclaimed myself Lord Rad
LORD OF.....of.... of..... well ill think of that later
Thanks for updating my nameplate, Alaundo. Does the title of Lord come with any underlings to polish the new plaque and take on other duties for me to fob off?

Naming yourself a Lord! . . . That is such a no no . . .
Although, I suppose scribe titles were to eventuate anyway, so it was to be expected I guess. Afterall we have a Cardinal .
On a related note, Lord Rad, there is a character in a satirical dark-humour graphic novel that I read once which had a demon prince of the Underworld whose name was "Lord Magnus Rad". Strangely, he was the only character in the novel to survive the war with Heaven, and see the end of the book .

Hey I wouldnt have taken the title if not for Elrond on these forums
"Rad" just didnt seem right, its been my nickname for a great number of years now and not very fantasy-like, so a slight change still with the recognition was in order |

Can I be his Well-Endowed-ness Arion Elenim? |
My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm |

Heh, well, it will be odd to refer to you as a Lord, but I guess it will come with practice...
I'm already the Shadowlord, so I believe I've beaten you to it, Rad. |
The Chosen of Vhaeraun "Nature is governed by certain immutable rules. By virtue of claw and fang, the lion will always triumph over the goat.Given time, the pounding of the sea will wear away the stone. And when dark elves mingle with the lighter races, the offspring invariably take after the dark parent. It is all much the same. That which is greater shall prevail. Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri. |

Well now Lord Rad, I am happy to have inspired you, (I'm afraid I'd beat you in titles) for I fondly remember about a year ago when thou only ranked about 500 posts and me a mere 1... ah those where the days. Alais even in those days there where no senior scribes let alone masters of realms lore. Anyway! Lord Rad I bestow upon you Lord ship
So saith
Lord Elrond, Half Elven, Herald of Gil-Galad, and owner of the Last Homely house, he of the last Elves to leave middle earth
Eh....

Heh! I always thought that elves are kind hearted creatures yet you, my dear half elf, prove me wrong... *laughs* |
*sigh* Magicians are the most conniving, jealous, duplicitous, group of people on earth, even including lawyers and academics. They worship power and the wielding thereof, and seek every chance they can to undercut their rivals...
