Would it be fair to say Piergeiron and Khelban have a similar relationship at Batman and Superman? Cynic and Boyscout as it were. Clearly they have the bond of friendship and the closeness and camaraderie of "soldiers" who have fought the good fight together and had each other's back for a long time. Philosophically I would imagine like Superman and Batman they come at a problem from very different ends. Even though it likely produces high energy debates and hotly contested approaches, they likely glean something in each others intellect and wisdom that in the end creates an understanding between the two and the reasonable most productive way of dealing with an issue. Whether spoken or unspoken there is a deep grudging respect for each other.
I have always envisioned them as the two lightning posts when the Lords debate an issue ofr threat to Waterdeep and have always imagined some Batman/Superman like debates between the two.

Khelben as Clark Kent? Cynical, snarky Khelben?
I mean, other than the fact that he could paste every Lord of Waterdeep within ten seconds, if he ever felt like it. |

True enough, if Khelben would be the one with Batman-like behavior, on the other hand he would be Superman-like in power. Maybe it makes the relationship a bit different. |

I was actually looking at personalities and not power, Khelban being the cynic Bruce Wayne and Piergeiron as Clark. Of course Khelban is the most powerful of the Lords.
However, as Piegeiron slew the dracolich Kistirianth the Red, I wouldn't call him a lightweight either. |

| I was thinking more of a Spock/Dr. McCoy dynamic, but who would fit the "Kirk" role? Mirt? |
