After seeing this posting over on the WotC forum by the esteemed Elain Cunningham I simply had to find my way over here as quickly as possible.

It is good manners to greet your hosts and fellows(even when your end goal is tyrannical rule over all of them) so I had to make that my first priority.

I still have to look around but I look forward to discussions with everyone and hope I have something productive to add.

Well met, Black Hand of Bane, and welcome to Candlekeep

Thank ye for your "good manners" in pleasantly introducing yourself to fellow scribes of the library. Fear not, we keep tabs on which scribes book out tomes on tyrannical reign and tactics

Enjoy your stay

Garggg . . . what is with all the evil scribes, anyway?

Hell hath no fury like all of Candlekeep rising in defense of one of its own.

Maybe the site is advertising in The Villian's Lorebook or something.

Welcome The Black Hand of Bane. Do you go by TBHOB for short?

Hehhee..on the WotC board I'm Dawnspeaker, Cleric of Lathander. I had to let the other personality take reign here.

The letters seem tacky, Bane is sufficent.

That is good..rulership without opposition is not worthwhile.

I hope you enjoy your Stay

Elrond

Once upon a midnight dreary, while i pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While i nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

"Argh, ever since I arrived, the "evil population" has been steadily increasing." Seeing the other scribes angry looks, he says, "I assure you, I had nothing to do with this. So what if half the others are here because of me?"

Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri.

Greetings, greetings yessss...
We welcomes to nice Keep of Candles. Scribes not evil or good. They just there. Like us. Worry too much you do Bookwyrm.... It's not like they all come to slay Keep's dragon... Items made from dragons in high demand though...

So you didn't put all those notes inviting people here in those novels being sold in Waterdeep "Miscreants are from Kara-Tur, Harpers are from Zakhara?" I could have sworn that was your signature.

Ah, see, that's where you err. I hold no love for the Harpers, and would certainly not place a note in one of their books. I am a servant of the Drow God Vhaeraun...
