Ohh...I certainly like these new miniatures...especially the 'Glabezu' and 'Treant'. At last, minis that I can make some use of in my campaigns.

The 'Warforged' looks interesting too, but then my brain has been soaking up information on these guys - since they first appeared - like a sponge. I wish we knew more about them...

to be honest I dont have alot of use for the Warforged they dont really fit into the FR, there to mechanical looking to be Iron Golems the only thing they comes close to looking like are those LN Outsiders

Actually, I was thinking more in line with the 'Warforged' having some type of place in my homebrew world of Gateway, since as you say, they really do not fit into the core aspects of FR.

I tell you what I trade you any Warforged I get in my GOL expansions for your Fire Giants, Glabezu, Behirs and Treants.

Deal?

I'll agree to that, but only in regards to the Fire Giants and Behirs. I've got great looking Warhammer Fire Giants that I really do prefer, and Behirs have never really featured heavily in my games anyway...

Well, if it's any consolation to your obvious annoyance - my copy of the PGtF did not arrive today. My best estimates assume that I'll have it sometime early next week...

Actually, I've haven't opened my box yet. I haven't been home since I posted that comment yesterday morning. I was staying over at the Lady Kazandra's house after a particularly long foray through the streets of Ordulin.

What did you get...?

So, I guess I'll open mine when I get home. Just so I know whether or not I can annoy you some more, was there any minis you were hoping to get in particular...?

Okay then, answer me this...

How do you see the Ragnara Psychic Warrior mini as the Realms NPC Scyllua Darkhope (and yes I am aware of what you said previously)? I am just curious as to why you would think of this...?

To me that mini looks like an evil character, shes got Darkhair like Scyllua, shes wearing Dark armour which also makes me think of Scyllua and while I havent got the mini yet the armour looks very ornate like Scyllua's.

My wish list fo Future minis I have the following

Scyllua Darkhope: A mounted Scyllua riding her nightmare (the mini should be based on the Lords of Darkness cover.

Fzoul: Picture should be based on his pic in the FRC, that armour would look awesome on a mini.

Dracolich: I want a huge mini of Black or Blue Dragon Dracolich

Probably as soon as they settle the debate on whether he's got blonde or red hair.....

Minis I've got(FR-based):
Paladin of Torm, Red Wizard, Cleric of Lathander (awesome looking figure!), Dalelands Militia, Evermeet Wizard, Duergar Warrior, Zhentarim Fighter, Drow Sergeant.

Wanting a Drizzt figure 'cause it'd be cool...

By the way one of the guys who works on the minis line said that they had done molds for a Dracolich, Beholder, Gelantinous cube an Aspect Tiamat however they didnt come out right so they took them out of the set but plan to do them later (Im guessing thats why we got a Gauth instead of a Beholder in Archfiends)

Thanks for that Dargoth. I've started a miniatures collection of my own, since the Sage is so protective of his. I've already purchased the 'entry pack', but what would you suggest my next expansion pack purchase be?.

well it depends

What type of D&D mini buyer are you are you?

There are 3 Types

The War Gamer ie people who play the D&D minis game if you are one of these thn you only want som of the minis ie enough to be the faction/army you want

The Collector: Your after a set, you really own want one of each mini so youve got a set

The DM: You use the minis for D&D to represent monsters in your games (This is what I am) if your a DM you want alot of everything.

Or try for one out of a random pack as they're quite expensive over on ebay..... I don't have anything worth trading for one.
