What color choices do half-elves have for hair and eye colors?
I checked various sourcebooks but I couldn't find a clear list

There can not be a clear list for a few reasons. D&D does not do genetics well, if they even come near to it. It depends on version of source edition. It also can matter very much of other parent.
Some of the NPC generators on the net do try to cover all things the programer was aware of. Eyes, blue, silver, green, and brown is all that come to mind if you exclude the dark elves that have red.
Edit: Hair, silver, blonde, dark and white are all I recall at this time. |
"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards." "Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding. "After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first." | My understanding is it can go either way. Either pick from the region the human parent came from or from the type of elven parent. |

For this scenario it's 3.5, if that helps at all...
But I see that this is problematic |

| Just combine the elven tendencies -- see Cyclopedia of the Realms p. 47 for skin colour -- with human colouration however you prefer. I'm not seeing the problem. |
