Starting an adventure in a few days. It is taking place in a tropical island/jungle setting. I am in need of suitable jungle enemies for a 1st level party. Thanks

1st level jungles, goblins might like the shade, maybe a monkey or a few. Depending on party size you do not not want any combatant of about 4 HD skilled in jungle combat. In part it depends on how safe a jungle it will be, humans that can help useful, pigmies that use poison darts first and ask questions later to be avoided. At least for a few levels.

Even for level ones? The dwarves could be cool though. |

jungle monsters... if you are not limiting yourself to dnd/fr monsters, there is the monkey goblins from pathfinder

otherwise, human tribals, and the standard foral and fauna... |
why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

Thanks. I might feature tasloi, they're like monkey goblins, and maybe even have one riding a wasp for a challenge |
