I fear you may be mistaken my dark friend. Carceri is the plane of Exile, the Prison plane of the multiverse. Although not unheard of, I question the logic of a deity making his home upon the prison plane.
Perhaps you mean one of the Layers of the Abyss, Carceri is it's own plane. Where is the The Sage when he is needed? I'm just he could clear up this little mix up, but anyways, Carceri is a plane where souls are held for crimes comitted in life ( not true crimes like murder or anything), crimes that are founded upon betrayal and selfishness. The lower planes are as follows: Acheron, Nine Hells, Gehenna, Hades, Carceri, the Abyss, and Pandemonium. |

In 2e, Vhaerun's realm is indeed hidden on Carceri. For most beings, Carceri is a "prison plane", but others seem to thrive there...
I refuse to acknowledge that Faerun was torn out of Planescape, so in my mind Vhaerun is still there, perhaps with a small realm in the Demonwebs to comply with an arbitrary rule set forth by "Ao". |

Imagine Cult_Leader and Cardinal Deimos getting together. Don't they make a great pair? I know there's going to be loads of fireworks. *HIDES* |

I wonder if that would qualify as a Realms shattering event. |

I'd have to agree with you there. There's no way someone like you has got a shot with me. |

Can't you tell we were just messing around Cardinal. I'm surprised you took me seriously since Cult_Leader doesn't. |

I always thought it would be nice if Lloth and Corellon Larethian got back together. Or maybe even Drizzt and Mielikki, now that would be the ultimate way to serving your god. |

Huh, that wouldn't be as bad as Vhaeraun dating Sehanine Moonbow..... They have a longstanding hatred of each other, you know...... |

No, but it would be as amazing if Vhaeraun and Eilistraee actually met and had a civil conversation together. To paraphrase a great line in Mongoose's Sheloth: City of the Drow: "What could be this dangerous master?"
"Family," was his reply. |

Well, there's little hope for any civil conversations between those two....
I recently made a module for NWN where Vhaeraunites and Eilistraeens become embroiled in a war, and their deities' avatars actually make an appearance.... Extreme, yes, but I've wanted to do it for quite a while....... |

Oh, my module had both deities facing off against each other while their mortal worshipers fought beside them. Like I said, extreme, yes, but it's extremely amusing.. |

Dare I guess the outcome considering the creator's slight bias? |

Well, I don't want to spoil it, but the outcome is pretty much obvious....
Eilistraee's avatar is destroyed, her worshipers slain, and Vhaeraun is victorious! (Did you truly expect something else to happen? ) |

No, the only thing missing is having Volo run up to Vhaeraun's avatar or one of his followers:
Volo: "You've just destroyed Eilistraee's avatar and her worshipers. What do you plan to do next?"
Disneyworld? Do they let in Vhaeraun followers there? |

Haha! A perfect imitation of the Superbowl! (Minus the whole Janet Jackson incident.... "It was a wardrobe malfunction," She says.) |

I envision your idea of a wardrobe malfunction involving an Eilistraee follower being smothered by some material. |

I haven't seen many 'love interests' mentioned for Lathander in either the books, or here at Candlekeep. Doesn't anyone here think the Morning Lord would be a good and commited partner in a relationship?.

If you can, check out the wonderful, Faiths and Avatars from 2nd edition. On page 90 of this work, there is the following
The churches of Chauntea and Lathandar have grown closer since the Time of Troubles, and rumors hold that Lathandar has been courting the favor of the Earthmother romantically as well as politically. |

I don't think Lathander would be good at the whole "committment" thing. He would feel like he's in a rut, and seek other lovers to "rejuvinate" his life. Its his nature (there's a novel that illustrates this, but I forget the name). A lifetime of monogamy is one thing, but an eternity? It would take a special type of personality (Like Moradin And Berroner(sp)) to thrive in such a relationship. |

Helm was the best at that game, as he is all for the Duty given to him. Duty to his lover was all. It was that Wretched Lathander that Got Murdane(?), Helm's Lady love killed (Destroyed, sent to the astral to sleep, obliterated, disperced, etc) in the first place. We do not like Lathander, and would not be happy to see him... happy... |
