Since events are currently being processed, I thought I'd poll for interest.

Who'd be interested in attending a 2+ hour gathering of Realmsians at GenCon this year? If you came to the seminar last year, you may remember a number of authors and designers, both present and past, in attendance, talking all manner of things Realms.

What say you?

Cheers

I keep saying I'll make it to GenCon this year, and it doesn't pan out. Still, I'm planning on getting out to GenCon this year, and I'd love to come to a CK seminar.

I've got tentative holiday plans to visit with the Lady K's parents in Brazil this year, so my allotted holiday period may already be taken up with that.

Unless those plans change, attending GenCon 2013 won't be an option for me. Otherwise, yeah, I'm interested, and I'll be at the Seminar.

I live 90 miles away from Indy so barring complications I will be at GenCon and I would definitely come to another Realms seminar/get together.

I only live a few hours away in Columbus OH and have still never been so I guess this is as good as reason as any to finally go. However, my attendance will probably only lead others to stay away. Also it's a chance to hit up the KODT guys for more free stuff. They love to hook up fans on the swag!

On a more serious note, since it is across the atlantic and that involves the sufficiant funding and timing to make that trip, i won´t be making it.

I'd definitely be interested in going.

Wish I had a smart phone capable of taking 2+ hours of video. It would be cool to have something beyond a transcript for the folks who can't make it.

I'm really doubting I will be able to make it this year, but my GF lives just 2 hours away so you never know. The group I hang with when I'm there (in Kentucky) didn't go last year, but I understand they do all plan to go this year.

I have to say I really enjoyed last year's, despite going alone. Lots of people made me feel welcome, the James bro's and Ed included - I had a GREAT time. I highly recommend going for anyone who can possibly find some way to get there.

There will be lots of others there - perhaps you can pre-arrange each of you recording a segment?

I learned more at the 'casual' CK seminar then I did at any of the others (regarding FR) - little bits that were dropped that weren't mentioned in the 'official' talks. Plus they were all just so damn entertaining. Seeing Ed and James Lowder play-off against each other was like 'an evening at the improv' - amazing.

I say count me in! What excuse can I offer when I am only 30 minutes away?

I didn't have time last year due to some other commitments, but I will try to set up my film gear this year. We'll get the seminar as well as exclusive interviews with Realms authors, designers, and past alumni.

I'm tossing up whether to come this year or next. Will have to talk to higher powers before a decision is made. If I'm in town, I'll definitely be at any Candlekeep Seminar.

The US is just too far away from Brazil, I'm afraid. I hope someday I'll have the means and will to attend a GenCon, but it's not going to be this year.

Sage, whereabouts are you visiting? We usually have RPG conventions in some places in Brazil, tipically during the winter recess. Not close to the clout of GenCon, though, and probably not worth it to be honest, unless you happen to be in the same city with some time to spare.

We're hoping to visit Teresina for a holiday, and then visit the Lady K's parents in Cuiabá.

I've heard about popular gaming conventions being held in Brazil before. We learned about them during our last trip to the country in October 2011. Unfortunately, we weren't able to attend any of them. Since we're projecting to visit sometime between June and October 2013, that would be winter time in Brazil, so...

After hearing about last year's GenCon and the CK seminar, I had decided that I definitely wanted to go. I'm still intending to do so.

That being said, if I'm there, I'm there at the seminar!

You can count on me, the wife, and at least a couple of our friends being there again this year!

I'm with CorellonsDevout, I'd love to see it in youtube... And with Mapolq, for although I have some friends who attend to GenCon every year, it's a bit expensive to me, especially now that I'm planning to expand my family!

Hey all,

Well, it looks like there's a good bit of interest here, which is a good sign.

It is indeed possible we'll see this year's seminar filmed, as Matt mentioned above. If we do that, his will be the official film, and if I know Matt (and I think I do), it'll be a great piece.

We do have extra pins from last year, and I believe there are some with Wooly and Alaundo's names on them.

This year, I think our theme will be Harpers. So the pin'll be pretty awesome, I think . . .

Cheers

Receiving a Harper Pin would be kind of cool... especially for those of us who can't attend.

Some well-known wizard sigils would be cool, as well, for designs of potential Seminar Pins.
