Well met all!! I (or our group) had another GREAT gaming session!! However, it has sparked another question, in my never ending mind, arose. One of my party members "aquired" a MACE of DISRUPTION. My question is that if the mace does damage to structure & NON-LIVING objects, would it work on the UNDEAD as well? Hmmm...? As always, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. 'Til next time fellow travelers! Thanks!

Off thee top o' my head, I had thought the disruption property was all about blasting bone-heads into oblivion. |

-At least in 3e anyway, disruption weapons are specifically dangerous towards the Undead.
quote: SRD
A weapon of disruption is the bane of all undead. Any undead creature struck in combat must succeed on a DC 14 Will save or be destroyed. A weapon of disruption must be a bludgeoning weapon. (If you roll this property randomly for a piercing or slashing weapon, reroll.)
Strong conjuration; CL 14th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, heal; Price +2 bonus.

2nd Edition
quote: Mace of Disruption: This appears to be a mace +1, but it has a neutral good alignment, and any evil character touching it will receive 5d4 points of damage due to the powerful enchantments laid upon the weapon. If a mace of disruption strikes any undead creature or evil creature from one of the lower planes, may utterly destroy the creature.
Skeletons, zombies, ghouls, shadows, wights, and ghasts, if hit, are instantly blasted out of existence. Other creatures roll saving throws as follows:
Creature Save Wraiths 5% Mummies 20% Spectres 35% Vampires 50% Ghosts 65% Liches 80% Other affected evil creatures 95%
Even if these saving throws are effective, the mace of disruption scores double damage upon opponents of this sort, and twice the damage bonus.

Can look up 1st and try to get 4th and 5th, however clearly this weapon is not kind to undead. |

As written in the AD&D 1E and 2E DMGs, a mace of disruption has the very specific and deliberate purpose of smashing undead. It does tremendous damage vs undead. Against other "non-living" objects such as doors and furniture (and even constructs) it would only work about as well as any other +1 mace. |
