Funny... I had the same thought. I think it's a likely assumption that both you and I will be regular visitors to that part of the new forum...

I do believe so...remind me to blitz you for everything you have on the Sensates when it appears...I'll be setting up shop in the Eberron forum, too-I'm glad there'll be one for it. I'd like to have a place to discuss Eberron, but you know I don't touch the Wizards boards...And then there might be some interesting homebrew setting talk, too. This'll be fun. |

You know, I'm surprised no one's asked this yet -- or perhaps it's important only to me.

Feel free to blitz away. I have plenty of material on the so-called 'philosophers with clubs', as well as the various sects .
I'll likely be making my home in possibly every section of this new forum. Of course, I'm hoping I won't be alone in my devotion to Dragonlance...

No, I've thought about asking Alaundo myself. I just thought that perhaps this was one of those little tidbits that he'd likely keep to himself until just before the portal is opened.

Well, I've refrained from asking because a name might give us a possible URL, and I don't think they want us banging on the doors just yet... |

I'd like to participate in all, except that I know practically nothing about quite a few of them...never was a fan of Dragonlance as a CS, haven't picked up any RL stuff, and got into the hobby a bit too late for the others...I don't think you'll be alone in the DL section-I'll just not be there, most likely. |

I think that my only weak "area" will be Greyhawk. The only material I've ever used was Gygax's first masterpiece. Everything published since then has been of little interest to me.

Everything? Never used any of the classic adventures?
EDIT: Wow, we're offtopic-talking about Greyhawk in a scroll on Eberron in a Realmsian library... |

That was my reason for not asking, as well... Though I am quite curious...
As for me, I'll definitely be spending time in the Spelljammer forums. I'll likely look into both the Ravenloft and Dragginglance forums, as well, and maybe even Dark Sun. I've not got a lot of material for any settings other than FR and Spelljammer, but I had at least an interest in the others I listed. Dragonlance was what got me into the TSR game worlds in the first place. |

Oh, the adventures... yes, I've used those. They're classics afterall .
I wouldn't worry too much about the off-topic content. Alaundo said he'd be archiving this scroll soon anyway...
Perhaps, sooner than you think...

Okay, so let's aim for six degrees of separation...Candlekeep, to say, current TV shows.
I wonder exactly what scribes will be joining us there...I'd like to see Sirius there, for his wit if nothing else... |

WoW . I feel like such the minority here now. I'm starting to think that I am only one of a few here who has ever campaigned (and regularly follow the latest developments) in many other settings besides FR???

Well, if there is nothing else, then of course...
You'll most likely find though, that the largest influx of scribes to the new library, will be the newer scribes, and the scribes who are still to join. I can't really see a lot of long time Candlekeep scribes paying that much attention to the new library.

I didn't mean it that way-sorry. I meant that even if he couldn't discuss some of the other worlds as well, I'd still like to see him there for his wit.

I think I disagree. There are many older scribes with a like for other worlds, and we've always wanted to discuss them with our fellow scribes, but we've never truly been able to. I think possibly one-half of the older group will join. |

Well, I'll certainly be joining. A lot of my (current) expertise has to do with the game aspect of things -- though I suppose I can only say that because I'm so overshadowed by the wealth of knowledge other scribes here have about the Forgotten Realms and other settings.
Anyway, I've decided that I'll hold off on a lot of rule-related projects (such as feats, a skill, and some optional rules) for this new place. I've always felt a little uncomfortable posting such things here in Candlekeep if they don't actually have much bearing on the Realms.
Of course, this doesn't mean I won't have the material available to Alaundo and Candlekeep, especially when they do impact the Realms. Like, for instance, the Fencer class Sage and I (mostly me, these days, since I'm the one behind) are working on -- I'm looking to ground it in the Realms more specifically than WotC normally does such things. Not that it takes much, I admit. Still, it's a mostly-generic class; I just wanted to give it some history for my favorite setting. |

Oh, I figured the flavor aspect would be mine. I'd of course run it by you, but since it's also supposed to be a "new" class in-game as well, it shouldn't be too hard for me. Mostly it concerns it being primarily a class taken by Chondathans, starting in Waterdeep and spreading to other large cities on trade routes. (It is, after all, a very "city" class.) |

I was just curious, that's all .
Actually, I'm glad it's something you've decided to take on yourself. I am anticipating what you'll likely come up with in regards to establishing the validity for this class.

Well, I'll still need your help with editing. I keep trying to make it all sound official, but I keep ending up with a ramble as I try to cover all the bases. The one that's really giving me a pain is the entry "Other Classes" in the blurb format for base classes. Since there are three types of Fencers (for those who haven't gotten tidbits from me over IM or read them on Candlekeep, it's something like how there are two types of Rangers), that section has gotten awkward. I'm hoping to streamline in the near future. |

Bookwyrm, all I can say is, that those of us who have developed homebrew classes before, know exactly how you feel.
It may not seem like it now, but the statistical and class feature detailing for the MoD wasn't exactly a pleasant experience, and that was my third try at creating a PrC...

Well met
It certainly appears that Eberron talk has not been the subject herein for some time now I will forthwith lock this scroll away. Any discussions of the new locale can be continued on another scroll. |
