Ok, so I now have a bunch of Salvatore's novels, some of which - after skimming through - I saw were not Drizzt related. However, I have no idea what order they all go in, and this is going to cause some massive confusion later on I'm sure. So my question is this:
Does anyone know the correct order for Salvatore's novels?
I have read the Crystal shard trilogy, and the Dark Elf trilogy I think, the one that tells of his life and ends with him meetin Breunor and them.
I need some kind of order for all the rest
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Or perhaps lead me to somewhere where I can look for an order.
Thanks

I thought there was a timeline list around here somewhere... I was sure I had seen one among the shelves... |

Icewind Dale -The Crystal Shard -Streams of Silver -The Halfling's Gem
The Dark Elf -Homeland -Exile -Sojourn
The Legacy of the Drow -The Legacy -Starless Night -Seige of Darkness -Passage to Dawn
Paths of Darkness -The Silent Blade -The Spine of the World -Servant of the Shard ....
After that, I'm a little fuzzy. It's more than enough to get you started, though, and I'm sure the rest of the titles will come in from the hardcore fans here. (Hey, I can't memorize them if I don't own them. My brother has the rest.) |

Bookwyrm....it sounds like he's asking for order as in timeline. If that's the case, your list needs to be edited as it appears to be the publication order. |

Dark Elf Trilogy HAPPENS first chronologically, however Icewind Dale Trilogy was PUBLISHED first...
After that, the Legacy of the Drow Series HAPPENS in the same order it was published, followed by Paths of Darkness. So, as listed by our good friend Bookwyrm, the only anomoly here is that Icewind Dale was published before Dark Elf.
And while many see things otherwise, I suggest reading the Dark Elf Trilogy first...I think chronology is much more important than "intent"....but ah well... |
My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm |

I totally agree Arion. Although I know a certain old wyrm that would disagree with us. |

I have read Dark Elf and Icewind Dale as said, so it matters not then...
I will read Legacy and then paths, when I ah....acquire them.
Thanks Bookwyrm and others, consider the question answered. You guys are awesome |

::ooohhhs and ahhhs at BW's spell affects:: OOohhh... pretty... ::He snickers and ducks, finding some odd furniture or other objects to hide behind::
As for the complete chronological order...
The Dark Elf Trilogy Homeland, Exile, Sojourn The Icewind Dale Trilogy The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver, The Halfling's Gem Legacy of the Drow The Legacy, Starless Night, Siege of Darkness, Passage to Dawn Paths of Darkness The Silent Blade, The Spine of the World, Servant of the Shard, Sea of Swords The Hunter's Blades Trilogy The Thousand Orcs, The Lone Drow, The Two Swords (Oct '04)
And rumored to be after that is a trilogy on Jarlaxle and Entreri, and then there are a handfull (or two) of short stories in the different Realms Anthologies books dealing with characters in RAS's series |
