Ah, those... well, they never did set well with me. :) I preferred 1e and 2e's lore on how magical items were sold but usually by smaller shops/merchants. The large factory red wizard enclaves, they just always bothered me. Plus, I just never really understood why all these cities allowed the red wizards to build enclaves that were under the law of Thay, not the cities. And, finally, I liked the old Thay, a land that was feared, not a land of magical merchants.

So, I guess I'm saying the enclaves are a no. :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

And I'm still deciding about where we left off or if I'm just going to advance the timeline a little. I should know by the end of today.

Ah well, no worries. Caer will just have to find another to get into mischief with.

Whatever you decide with the time line is fine with me.

Ack! I seem to have too much blood in my coffee stream!

When did 'common sense' cease to be common?

Aye, I have the intro written. I just want to go over it a bit more and I'll send it tomorrow. :)

I can still fulfill that role of troublemaker or meddlesome kid.

I hope Candlekeep continues to be the friendly forum of fellow Realms-lovers that it has always been, as we all go through this together. If you don’t want to move to the “new” Realms, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with either you or the “old” Realms. Goodness knows Candlekeep, and the hearts of its scribes, are both big enough to accommodate both. If we want them to be.
(Strikes dramatic pose, raises sword to gleam in the sunset, and hopes breeches won’t fall down.)
Enough for now. The Realms lives! I have spoken! Ale and light wines half price, served by a smiling Storm Silverhand fetchingly clad in thigh-high boots and naught else! Ahem . .
So saith Ed. <snip>
love to all,

I'm sure it will be fun, no matter what!
