Here's another Cormyr related question:

Would it be possible for demi-humans to start a settlement in Cormyr? If so how would Cormyr react to this?

Is there not at least one Dwarf village in Cormyr or am I thinking of somewhere in the Dales?

Even so, I would imagine that a couple of Dwarven communities, in the Stormhorns, say, or on the edge of the Stone lands would probably be looked on favourably by Cormyr, for the extra security they could provide on the borders.A Dwarven village in these areas with an ongoing mining concern would probably be more than warmly welcomed by several elements of Cormyrn society. I wouldn't imagine many people would be too upset about Gnomes either, for that matter.

Starting to build a settlement without consulting the Crown would be a bad move, unless it was tiny and very out of the way, like the various sylvan, elf and halfling communities in the deeps of the King's Forest. If the Crown was sympathetic there'd be negotiation on the terms of the newly chartered place in terms of taxation, Purple Dragon patrols, and so on. A border settlement could potentially gain sponsorship or support (see Power of Faerūn).

A couple of known demihuman settlements in Cormyr are the halfling villages of Black Oaks and Besert.

Sorry, Synthalus. I only reply to questions when I know the answers. I don't know the answer to this one.
