Hey all.. I guess im the n00b here... w00t!
I just wanna say that I'm willing to host a Play By Play (or Post By Post) Roleplay here, if anyone is interested in joining.
It would be a simple, Faerun setting... the uber tavern in the middle of nowhere... and a quest designed for mainly level 6-9 characters. Either 3.0 or 3.5 rules settings will be decided upon, depending what you are all comfortable with.
I'll operate this on the amount of feedback I've gotten, and ask people to send me their character profiles at darkened_crystaline_thoughts@hotmail.com for reveiwing and correcting. I'd like to see a good mix in characters, in both class, race, and demanour. Level will be important, so dont all go for the lvl 9 power trippers, as im looking for diversity in all aspects.
Anyhoo.. ill check back here in a few days to see what the levels of feedback are.

Well I m tempted. I ll be glad to join your game, Silk but I have some questions.
1- Will the party be good or evil?
2-Is allignment a problem? I may be an assasin or a paladin for example. What is your choise?
3-Who will roll the dice to determine the ability score?
4- When will this game be? Which day, what time and in what sequence?
5- Where does the story takes place?

Janden, In answer to your questions...
1- Will the party be good or evil?
This will be dependant upon the amount of feedback I receive, and the diversity of characters. If for example, I receive five characters and four of them are Good aligned, I may have to ask the Evil aligned person to either rechoose the character or modify their existing one.
2-Is allignment a problem? I may be an assasin or a paladin for example. What is your choise?
Again, this will be dependant upon feedback. A warning though; many NPC’s and even PC’s will be racist pigs and none to friendly against certain races, classes, and religions. This is by no means a redraw of my previous idea. I’d love for diversity to be apparent in our characters, helps increase the level of enjoyment for a DM. *wink*
3-Who will roll the dice to determine the ability score?
I’d like this to be an honour-policy RPG. I’ll know if there is cheating if everyone is suddenly level 9 with 34 strength and a Vorpal Longsword +5 as their main weapon.
4- When will this game be? Which day, what time and in what sequence?
When and what sequences are yet to be decided. I know this is incredibly vague still; but it was just a thought that came to me when I joined up. So forgive my distance and simplicity.
5- Where does the story takes place?
Forgotten Realms, Faerun. A Sword Coast Setting. I’m yet to decide if the uber tavern we are to begin in will be a reclusive forest setting or a bustling city market. This will depend on my mood at the time of writing the intro.

Let me put it this way... I chose the levels 6-9 because it offered a good diversity in feats, skills and equipment. The levels are also for characters that choose a creature that needs a lvl adjustment... ie. A lvl 8 Drow's effective level is now 6 due to the bonuses of owning a Drow.
But I'd like for you to actually roll your character instead of just guessing a level. Emailing me the stats, and a general equipment list and character description is also a very good idea.
Another point... just because OUR character levels are 6-9, doesnt mean the monsters we face will be. Imagine confidently cutting through the swathe of lvl 2 Goblin Fighters to emerge around a corner and run straight into the angry path of a lvl 17 Ogre Mage... Chaos rules in life, so why not reflect that in this fantasy? What im trying to say is, dont get too attatched to specific characters. You CAN and most likely WILL have to watch your pride and joy lvl 8 pseudo-moon elf Ranger be dismembered and decapitated during a fight with a Drow raiding party. Remember my speal on NPC's before? Though its not likely that a NPC will dislike your race/alignment/class enough to kill you, THERE IS ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY.
So have a couple of spare characters ready.  |
