The drow ranger decides to lead the party into the forest, with the monk following, then the female psychic warrior, then the grey dwarf.
They are hunting for prey to kill, then cook, and eat.
The ranger spots tracks, of at least ten people, carrying something heavy, up to the mountain.
The party of four follow the tracks into the mountain and find that they lead into a cave.
The dwarf announces to the party "the rock in this cave has been hewn, but it is jagged looking...how odd"...
With the monk taking up the lead from here, he reaches a door.
The party carefully deliberates over the options, and decide to have the monk push it open.
He does so...
Inside they hear incoherent babbling echoing...
They follow the sound

Inside there is a circular room, with spiral stairs along the walls going down into the pit, but the members of the party choose to stay above.
From here they can discern that the language being spoken is common, but incoherent, and seems to be spoken to no one in particular.
The "people" (for they are in robes and it cannot be seen as to what race they are of) continue babbling, not noticing the visitors at the top of the room, at the entrance

The drow ranger pulls out his bow and arrows ever so silently, puts arrow to bow, and lets it fly to his target, then quickly repeats the process before the first arrow even hits home.

The two arrows find their place, and embed into the "person's" skull.
He stumbles forward, and falls into the people in front of him, but they take no notice and continue babbling.

The monk then uses the drow sign language to convey this message to his fellow drow: "Keep repeating that process since it seems to be working"...

and I'll type out the rest later, and let you all ingest that for now.

I'm just wondering, but has this scenario been done before?

I doubt it, as Rallaster first appeared last year in the Book of Vile Darkness, and WotC wouldn't produce adventures that contain mature content.

This is from your adventure minus the funny deaths that you spoke of?

Courage isn't the lack of fear but rather believing in and doing what you know is right even though fear is present.

Ok continuing on with the story:

So the drow ranger reloads his bow, while at the same time the other drow launches a rock at the unnervingly babbling targets below with his sling, and it strikes a target in the head, but is deflected.
Then...the babbling stops...
The party all of a sudden notices that there is a coffin in the center of the room (made apparent by some sort of magic unknown to them as of this point)...
The description of it: razors and hooks are jutting out of it in all different angles and directions.

The coffin slowly opens (how classical), and this black humanoid figure rises up out of it. It is notable that it seems that this is not a fully materialzed being as it has nothing from the waist down.
Nothing at all...no legs, no knees, no feet, just a wispy cloud...

It starts to circle about the room.

The drow ranger takes two shots at it, one in the head, the other in the groin area, and they hit full on...but... they go out the other side, part broken, other part dust.

The babbling resumes and grows ever louder, as the party turns tail and runs. Then a cry of pain screeches through the corridor, and the dwarf turns around at the very last second to catch a glimpse of what is happening:
The black form reaches out and touches one of the many there, and where he touched, there is rended flesh... He turns tail, disgusted by this display, and runs.

Oh no...as they run through the tunnel that led them there they see many figures at the entrance...from what it looks like, black robed figures...they wait eerily at the entrance, babbling insanely as they do so...

The drow monk takes the lead with his amazing speed, springing down the hall way, occassionally doing cartwheels for show, even in this time of desperation.

The others follow in this order(note: they are all running for their lives at this point):
2)drow ranger
3)female psychic warrior
4)grey dwarf

The monk does a rush to the first one in his way, elbowing it in the chin, and it flies backwards...the others close in on him as he readily drops into fighting stance.

The drow ranger fires two shots of underdark arrows into the crowd, hitting two different victims. One arrow goes through the eye socket of one, and it falls down. The second victim is luckier and has the quarry slams into its upper chest-It remains standing.

The ranger then puts away his bow and performs a perfect forward tumble, going past the crowd through the clear line that he made with his shots, and turns around, with bow and arrow at the ready.

The psychic warrior, in her ingeniousness, makes a plan:
She picks up the lagging dwarf, runs with him to the entrance, and hurls him towards the enemies...but, unfortunately, the dwarf hits the ground five feet short of the target, and rolls...some of the enemies turn around...

The dwarf then hops to his feet and stalks towards the mindless drones that seem to serve this black figure.

Now it's the mindless ones' turn to attack- A cloaked being steps out, with meathook in hand, and approaches the monk. The monk steadies himself, awaiting the attack. The being swings upwards at a slight angle, and the monk does an almost bridge, and stands himself back up, easily dodging this seemingly unskilled attack all within the matter of two seconds.
Another being steps forward, with barbed wire wrapped around his fist, and punches right at the monk's chest. The monk tries to dodge in time, but is slightly off balance from the last attack-this is just what the cloaked creature needed...the attack connects with slight force, and as he pulls his fist back, the monks shirt (and part of his flesh) is torn off.

The monk, now covered in blood, exhales, knowing there is a huge battle ahead of him, and drops back into stance.

The ranger begins shooting arrows, in an attempt to slay these fiends. Surprisingly enough, each arrow connects with more than enough accuracy to do so.

Now comes the psychic warrior, who ran past the dwarf when it was hopping to its feet. She, with her mace, takes a huge arrced swing, (in the manner of golfing) and connects right under the chin of an unsuspecting "drone"...all of its teeth shatter, and it momentarily stops babbling, because of its also broken jaw...it continues babbling for a few seconds more, than drops to the ground. Using a second swing, she smashes into another one's chest, and you can hear a loud crack, as the being involuntarily spits up an obscene amount of blood.

The dwarf, with his rage building, swings his mighty warhammer, and it slams into yet another cloaked beings head, knocking the hood back, revealing a surface elf. The beings skull caves in, and it crumples on the spot.

More in a few minutes...

Do not worry, my good friend, the deaths will be entered into this story, as they bear relevance to the mood of it.

(Note: I may have to call it a night soon, even though i have off tomorrow... so ill try to type this as quickly as i can, and if i cant finish it tonight, then unfortunately you will be left with a cliffhanger)

Once again it is the attackers turns...

One slowly ambles towards the female (sorry for the mistake, it was the female who was attacked at this point, not the dwarf), with what seems to be a large axe (though so crudely fashioned it can barely be described as such), and swings it at the said female psion...It misses horribly, and as the axe comes down, it lands square into the attacker's foot. Without expression, it removes the axe from it's own foot, and begins to walk forward some more, but on the second time of putting the cleaved foot down, it stumbles forward, leaving it's head wide open to attack.
The Psion seizes this chance, heaving its mace up with an uncanny speed, and brings it down as the being continues to stumble. At the same time, an arrow is let to fly with a speed matching the mace's double, and just as the mace smashes into being's head, fracturing it, the arrow speeds past the throat, slashing it wide open.

With brains splattered all over the female, and blood spewing on her face, she begins to vomit.

Another attacker swings an unarmed punch at the monk, and misses...the monk drops down, and lunges upwards, heaving a mighty uppercut towards the attacker's chin. It connects with such force that the attacker bites off its tongue, has its eyes roll into the back of it's head, and falls spread eagle onto its back- it's out for the count.

There are now two left (this is where the story strays from the original weird/funny deaths, though i believe the first was right, about the dwarf cleaving the attackers stomach at the time they were just coming out of the tunnel, but i shall omit that since my memory has become blurry, and i do not want to do it injustice), and the ranger take care of them easily, notching two arrows into his bow, turning it parallel to the ground, and shooting both of the remaining attackers in the throat.

As they begin to walk back to the village, intending to pass that place, and head back to dorians (their employer), they hear incoherent babbling emitting loudly from the tunnel- they all break into a run...

The female is still vomiting while running, while the monk is sprinting along doing handsprings and cartwheels to show off his speed and dexterity, the dwarf is waddling in the back, and the second drow is behind the monk.

They are all yelling at eachother in common plans to escape/defeat, or otherwise manage to get rid of these foes (except of course for the female who is still vomitting...but...), then somehow, the female manages to get out a single word inbetween her vomitting fits...this word is "rallaster"...she learned about him through all of her reading back at dorians guardhouse. Of course, the rest of the party did not read those books, and therefore do not know what in the heck she is talking about. But! The drow monk did read combat books, and, with his tactical mind, formulates a plan. Since it is well known that he is the fastest (as shown through his method of escaping from enemies, ie: cartwheels and olympic-style gymnastics), he proposes that he, himself, run to the village and warn the people of the hoarde that is now approaching. Then he turns to the other drow to propose that he hides, but as he turns, he notices that he is already gone and says "What luck!"... the female finally stops vomitting, and uncharacteristically breaks into a tune (think legend of zelda tunes, or something along that line), and the rest of the party (excluding the hiding drow ranger) follows suit... All of a sudden the approaching hoarde turns, and starts walking back to the cavern/mountain/tunnel...

The end...
I'd like to apologize to any faults that were made in the deviation of the original happening...

Rallaster, from what I gathered, is the god of insanity.
From the reading, as I recall it, the minions love to torture and maim their victims in seclusion, and appear to be normal everyday people in the daily life.
I have no idea how they started to act like they did in the events that took place, maybe the avatar started controlling their minds, or something.
I think Bookwyrm would be of more use on this subject than I (Even though I heard the description from the book)

Quoting from the Book of Vile Darkness:
"Rallaster, the Razor God, is a deity of murder, torture, and psychotic behavior. Religious scholars refer to him as the Insane God, and the God of Madmen, but Rallaster's followers find him completely sane and comprehensible.Rallaster's symbol is a toothy mouth clamped down on a thin blade, and his favorite weapon is the short sword. Rallaster is associated with the Evil, Destruction and Pain domains. He is chaotic evil."
That should do it.

In that site Rallaster is the god of murder, man. Is it in an altervative version of Fearun? If there is a new god I would like to know is it a Tsr production and what is his background.

I'm not good with acronyms, plus im fairly new to this game, so "Tsr" means nothing to me. and I do not know what region he is worshipped in, you will have to research that, unless someone else assists you in this information. All I know is what it said in that specific page in "The book of vile..." etc...

Hey Bayne,With all the rain we had in my area of the States, the oak trees are filled with those acronyms this year and all the little squirrels in my own personal grove have stock piled them for the winter...TSR was bought out by WotC..Wizards of the Coast.

Rallaster is from the D&D supplement Book of Vile Darkness, which is a supplement which includes mature content(and a parental advisory, to boot!) about evil and the nature of evil in the D&D game.
One of the sections in the book was on particularly vile gods, all of which were new(although two were direct converts of Loviatar and Malar.)
Karaan is one of these gods. Most FR players don't use these deities, and instead figure out what deities have access to what domains from the Book of Vile Darkness.
Player's Guide to Faerun will deal with this in more detail.
Using Karaan in the FR is an unofficial conversion, so don't worry, Jander.

So what do you all think of the results? Pretty good for all characters being level three, don't you think?
Of course, we got pretty lucky with the attacks of opportunities.
And all those crit hits.
I should type up the prequel to this story, since there was much that happened before this, but I'd have to deliberate with my peers to get the story straight, as I have a lousy memory, and I'd like to get it in perspective.
In short, we fought two golems, and in one session where I did not attend, they fought...furniture...basically constructs...also the female was brutally attacked by a wolverine after idiotically deciding to hunt on her own (the dm taught her {which is actually a guy in rl} a needed lesson, aye?)
