I was thinking about re-reading some of the classic realms novels on my shelf and decided that I would read the novles that heavily feature Elminster and try to do it chronologicly.
I was thinking about this order:
1. Elminster : Making of a Mage 2. Elminster in Myth Drannor 3. Temptation of Elminster 4. Shadows of the Avater trilogy? 5. Elminster in Hell 6. Elminsters Daughter
Did I mis-order or completely miss any novels where he is the focus?
P.S. it would be cool as well to see a timeline of short stories as well....but that may be asking alot! Has anyone seen one?

Maybe the Spellfire Saga before Shadows of the Avatar? |

Before the Spellfire novels you could put the Knights of Myth Drannor series... |

And of course add ELMINSTER MUST DIE! to the end of your list. (Then of course there are the short stories to interweave, if you want the complete El experience, including the recent novelette LORD OF THE DARKWAYS on the WotC site, the never-reprinted story A NIGHT ON THE COLD HILLSIDE from one of the long-ago computer games, and the Spin A Yarn tales...)
