Okay, here is one more question about old El... The protagonist of Baldur's gate games is often called CHARNAME. As I remember in the game El mentioned that CHARNAME's party can beat him, but what about CHARNAME alone? Can he or she beat El without his or her companions?

His canon name is Abdel Adrian -- CHARNAME is merely be a portmanteau of character and name: i.e., your character name. |

I don't like Abdel (and books about him) and that's why I'm asking about CHARNAME. Besides Abdel was a fighter and in the game the protagonist could be a mage, a sorceror, a cleric, whatever. |

charname could probably beat him by virtue of being the main character but i doubt you're actually stronger than el |

CHARNAME is a variable used in the game files to represent the protagonist's name. When the mods surfaced, it started to be used as 'BG series protagonist'. Not to mention the fact that Abdel is not liked at all among the fans of BG.
Back to the original question - I don't think he would beat Elminster.
P.S. Jelennet - why three threads instead of one asking about all three cases? |

Any number of variables could skew an X vs. Y battle one way or the other. It's one of the many things that makes these discussions purely subjective. These discussions are also very much discouraged, per section B4 of the Candlekeep Forum Code of Conduct.
Therefore, I am locking this scroll. |
