An interesting article in KQ by Colin McComb on game design. I liked the tweak on The Complete Book of Elves and the Bladesinger.

Mod edit: Put quotation marks around the URL to make the coding pretty.

I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

I did not care for the book of elves, but his Planescape work is one of the best.

You know, I'm going to have to pick up all those KQ back issues in PDF from DriveThruRPG now, and start picking up the new ones in the same format... I have no room for more physical books or magazines that aren't specifically Pathfinder, at least not if I want to have room for all of my 1E and 2E books (and the corresponding era's DTEs of Dragon, complete from #51 up). I'm still hoping to get that stuff moved soon... but now "soon" means "January"; there will be no time off for me before New Year's... that's what I get for working in the high-tech retail industry.

Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.

If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic.
