(What, didn't think I'd catch that, Kyrene?)
But, even in spite of that, I kept my replies focused on logic.
I disparaged no one for their opinions, just took one scribe to task for a blatantly fallacious comment.
If sfdragon had said, "I believe all previous lore is made irreconcilable by the new lore," I would've made no remark.
However, his rhetoric is a product of edition hate, which this scribe would love
to see

I think some of your posts are really aggressive Brace, and I think that is why scribes react the way they do to some of them, and why so many scrolls have been sealed lately. You know, being the type of person to take offense to every little thing, to the point of imagining they are the victims of bigotry. You know what they say, when you spend too much time in the Far Realms, you become delusional.
That's canon, ya know. 
On the other hand, I think Brace may be right. I think us 'old guard' really should just give it up and move on, so folks like him can just enjoy the game. I'll be over on the Paizo boards if anyone wants me. |

As a person with three distinct races in their family(that's just going back 2 generations) two of whom have been subjected to the worst form of racism(native American and African-American), I must apologize to my friend, Kyrene.
My friend I am sorry that this scroll started by myself has degenerated into a free for all where you were falsely accused of racism. To me the only thing comparable to racism, is the false charges of racism to further someones agenda. Each instance only serves to water down the voices of those truly discriminated against and hurts us all.

I only pointed out Kyrene's "clever" slur to illustrate that I was the one on the receiving end of 'aggressive' posts. I'm thick skinned as hell; doesn't mean that such comments are appropriate, mind...
I stated that sfdragons comment was untrue. It is. However, even if one chooses to believe that 4e is a different setting than the FR of all previous editions, it is clear that those previous editions are being mined for 'lore. So, to state that *ALL* previous lore is thrown out is plainly not true.
Ed is writing 4e lore...
Has *he* thrown out all previous lore?

"Hit the table and the scissors will open" mean something like "When you're at fault you will be the first to make excuses". Am I clear enough? I hope you know what I mean. |

You know what? This thread started in a positive direction. And then it quickly degenerated... It prolly should be locked, but I'm tired of locking threads because of the same individual(s) over and over again. So I'm debating whether it should be locked, or if I should just go thru and start deleting posts. I don't want to do either, but I am getting so damned tired of this! 
It's up to you. Either bring it back on topic and stop deliberately baiting each other, or I'm going to have to choose between two actions I find distasteful. |
