I was just wondering if the old characters of power, such as Aumvour the undying, larlock, and many other arcanist are still alive ,and if they will have a place in the presenst day events. With the apparent dimise of the many of the chosen, is there anyone who good put a stop to their plans?, Will FR produce a book series on the rich and detailed history of the past characters as it had done in the past and give as a much needed update of the their development in the today setting? As a collecter of FR books this would realley inrich my reading pleasure.

I think I read somewhere on the WotC forums that they don't plan on making many books previous to the spellplague or events prior to 1479 DR. I know RA's were set during that time, but I think this was a special case. Though it would be nice to be filled in as to what happend to the various NPC we've grown to love for the past 20+ years. I too would love to see some novels dealing with the Spellplague and it's aftermath in towns such as Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Suzail, and Silverymoon. |

One might guess that the people who weren't alienated by the Realms-2008 timeline but also want detailed lore of the 'past' are a rather fine fraction of potential readers.
And if you're going to have detailed lore of the past, there's a queue of stories to tell that numbers in the hundreds of alluded-to and potential tales before comes the Spellplague's turn. Including major life-tales of the 'name' characters mentioned, and many more of characters who are not 'name' characters precisely because their stories have been shunted by the Spellplague's precessors for so many years. |
